Japanese Persimmon + Minocycline
Minocycline brand names: Vectrin, Dynacin, Minocin, Minocin IV, Solodyn, and others.
Japanese Persimmon has a moderate interaction with Minocycline. There is concern that Japanese persimmon leaf constituents might potentiate effects of anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
Why this applies to Minocycline
Minocycline falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Japanese Persimmon interacts with.
Some anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs include aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, indomethacin (Indocin), ticlopidine (Ticlid), warfarin (Coumadin), and others.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's something worth knowing about pairing persimmon leaf products with minocycline. This interaction is filed under blood thinners, but minocycline is an antibiotic, not an anticoagulant or antiplatelet drug. So the classic concern, where persimmon leaf compounds might add to a blood thinner's effect, doesn't really line up with how minocycline works in your body. The match here looks more like a category mismatch than a true clash.
On top of that, this is purely theoretical. The anticoagulant activity comes from lab-dish studies of persimmon leaf proteins and hasn't been shown in people. Eating the fruit as food is not a concern. Still, since I can't perfectly confirm your situation, run any concentrated persimmon supplement past your pharmacist or doctor first.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Minocycline page
“This is one of the longer interaction lists I review, and with minocycline it earns real care rather than a shrug. Most entries pair this tetracycline antibiotic, taken for acne and other infections, with supplements that raise bleeding risk, and a second sizable group, beer and wine included, can add strain on the liver.”

About Japanese Persimmon
What is Japanese Persimmon?
- High blood pressure
- Cough and hiccups (traditional use)
- Antioxidant support
- Digestive health and fiber
- Skin and general wellness
Japanese persimmon is a nutritious fruit rich in fiber, vitamins, and antioxidant plant compounds, and its leaves and calyx are used in traditional medicine.
