Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
Why this applies to Warfarin
Warfarin falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Japanese Persimmon interacts with.
Some anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs include aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, indomethacin (Indocin), ticlopidine (Ticlid), warfarin (Coumadin), and others.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the situation with persimmon and warfarin. Warfarin is already a powerful blood thinner with a very narrow safety window, so even small added effects can tip the balance. The concern is that compounds in persimmon leaf (not the everyday fruit you eat) showed blood-thinning activity in lab dishes by interfering with the clotting process. In theory, stacking that on top of warfarin could push you toward too much thinning, raising the risk of easy bruising, nosebleeds, or harder-to-stop bleeding.
I want to be honest though: this is theoretical, based only on test-tube work, and has never been shown in real people. Enjoying persimmon as fruit is generally fine. But before using any concentrated persimmon leaf extract or supplement, please check with your pharmacist or doctor, since your INR may need watching.

About Warfarin
What Is Warfarin Used For?
Brand name: Warfarin
Warfarin sodium tablets and Jantoven tablets are both used to prevent and treat venous thrombosis (blood clots in the veins) and pulmonary embolism (a clot in the lungs). They are also used to prevent clot-related complications in people with atrial fibrillation (an irregular heart rhythm) or who have had a heart valve replaced.
In people who have had a heart attack, warfarin is used to reduce the risk of death, another heart attack, stroke, or other clotting events. It does not dissolve an existing clot, but it helps prevent the clot from growing and stops new dangerous clots from forming.
