Here's the simple version. Taltz (ixekizumab) is a biologic that calms down part of your immune system to clear up psoriasis and ease joint inflammation. That dialing-down is exactly what helps your skin and joints, but it can also make it a little harder for your body to fight off germs. Kefir, on the other hand, is a fermented drink packed with live bacteria and yeast.

The theory is that adding lots of live microbes from kefir while your immune defenses are turned down could raise the odds of an infection. I want to be honest: this concern comes from lab-type reasoning, not real patient studies, so it's mostly cautionary. A regular serving of kefir is likely fine for most folks, but if your immune system is significantly weakened, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor before making it a daily habit.

What Is Ixekizumab Injection Used For?

Brand name: Taltz

Taltz (ixekizumab) injection is used to treat several immune-driven conditions. In patients aged 6 and older, Taltz treats moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis when the condition is serious enough to need systemic treatment or light therapy. In adults, Taltz also treats active psoriatic arthritis, active ankylosing spondylitis (a type of inflammatory spinal arthritis), and active non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis (inflammatory spinal disease not yet visible on X-rays) when there are objective signs of inflammation.
