Here's the gist with kefir and Ruxience (rituximab-pvvr). This isn't about kefir changing how the drug works or how your body breaks it down. Rituximab is an antibody infusion that lowers your immune defenses by depleting certain B cells, so your body can have a harder time fighting off germs while you're on it. Kefir is a fermented drink that contains live, actively growing bacteria and yeast.

The concern is simply that putting live microbes into a body with a weakened immune system might raise the chance of an infection. I want to be honest though: this is a theoretical worry based on lab-type reasoning, not solid human studies. Many people tolerate kefir fine. Since immune suppression varies a lot, please run it by your oncologist or pharmacist before making it a regular habit.
