Insulin Lispro falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Krill Oil interacts with.

Theoretically, taking krill oil with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Some research in animals and humans shows that krill oil might lower blood glucose levels. However, a small study shows that taking krill oil does not reduce blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes, most of whom were taking antidiabetes drugs.

Insulin lispro is a fast-acting insulin you inject to bring your blood sugar down around meals. The thought here is that krill oil might also nudge your blood sugar a little lower on its own. If that happens while you're already taking insulin lispro, the two together could push your sugar down too far, raising the chance of a low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) episode, things like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, a fast heartbeat, or confusion.

I want to keep this in perspective. The evidence is mostly theoretical and weak, and one small study actually found krill oil did not lower blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes. So this isn't a strong or guaranteed effect. Still, if you add krill oil, it's smart to check your blood sugar a bit more closely at first and let your pharmacist or doctor know.

Krill oil is a source of omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) bound to phospholipids, which may help absorption. What Is Insulin Lispro Injection Used For?

Brand names: Admelog, Admelog Solostar

Insulin lispro injection is used to improve glycemic control (blood sugar management) in people with diabetes mellitus. It is a rapid-acting insulin analog approved for use in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Admelog is specifically indicated to improve glycemic control in patients with diabetes mellitus. Humalog Mix75/25 is indicated to improve glycemic control in adults with diabetes mellitus; it is a fixed-ratio mixture of insulin lispro and insulin lispro protamine, and its fixed proportions do not allow for separate adjustment of basal (background) and prandial (mealtime) doses.
