Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
Why this applies to Pazopanib
Pazopanib falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Krill Oil interacts with.
Taking high doses of omega-3 fatty acids from fish oil can modestly decrease platelet aggregation. Since krill oil also contains these fatty acids, taking high doses of krill oil might also inhibit platelet aggregation. Theoretically, taking high doses of krill oil with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs might increase the risk of bleeding. However, the omega-3 content of krill oil is much lower than that of fish oil.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version: Pazopanib (Votrient) can already raise your bleeding risk on its own, and high doses of krill oil may add a little to that. The omega-3 fats in krill oil (EPA and DHA) can make platelets slightly less sticky, so stacking them together could, in theory, make bruising or bleeding a touch more likely.
That said, this concern is theoretical and based on how these fats behave, not on real cases with pazopanib. Krill oil also has far less omega-3 than fish oil, so a typical dose is unlikely to cause trouble. Still, watch for easy bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or any unusual bleeding, and run your krill oil by your pharmacist or oncologist before adding it.

“Take a careful look before mixing supplements with pazopanib (Votrient), an oral pill for advanced kidney cancer and certain sarcomas. Fourteen of the 349 ingredients on file are rated major, grapefruit among them, since it can raise pazopanib levels enough to intensify side effects.”

About Krill Oil
What is Krill Oil?
- Heart and cholesterol support
- High triglycerides
- Joint pain and inflammation
- Brain and eye health
- PMS symptoms
- General omega-3 supplementation
Krill oil is a source of omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) bound to phospholipids, which may help absorption. It is most studied for lowering triglycerides and supporting heart health, but the evidence for many other uses is limited. It is generally well tolerated, but people with shellfish allergy should avoid it, and anyone pregnant, breastfeeding, or on blood thinners should check with a pharmacist or doctor first.
About Pazopanib
What Is Pazopanib Used For?
Brand name: Votrient
Pazopanib tablets — sold as the brand Votrient and as generic pazopanib — are used to treat two types of advanced cancer in adults: advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC), the most common form of kidney cancer, and advanced soft tissue sarcoma (STS) in patients who have already received prior chemotherapy.
Important limitation: Pazopanib has not been shown to work in adipocytic soft tissue sarcoma (a subtype involving fat cells) or in gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs), so it is not used for those cancers.
