Here's the simple version: both Vumerity (diroximel fumarate) and kudzu can each put a little stress on your liver. This drug is already known to sometimes raise liver enzymes, which is why your doctor checks bloodwork before and during treatment. The worry with adding kudzu is that the two together might be harder on the liver than either one alone.

I want to be honest about how solid this is. It's a theoretical concern based on how each one behaves, not something proven in studies, so I don't want to scare you. Still, since your liver is already being watched on Vumerity, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or neurologist before adding kudzu. Watch for yellowing skin or eyes, dark urine, or unusual tiredness, and report those right away.

This includes three specific types: clinically isolated syndrome (a first MS episode), relapsing-remitting MS (the most common pattern of flares and recovery), and active secondary progressive MS (a later stage where disability gradually worsens but relapses still occur).
