Immunosuppressant drugs include azathioprine (Imuran), basiliximab (Simulect), cyclosporine (Neoral, Sandimmune), daclizumab (Zenapax), muromonab-CD3 (OKT3, Orthoclone OKT3), mycophenolate (CellCept), tacrolimus (FK506, Prograf), sirolimus (Rapamune), prednisone (Deltasone, Orasone), corticosteroids (glucocorticoids), and other drugs.

Here's the idea behind this one. Ofatumumab (Kesimpta) works by quieting part of your immune system to calm the nerve attacks that drive MS relapses. Larch arabinogalactan, on the other hand, is a fiber that some believe may gently stimulate the immune system. On paper, those two pull in opposite directions, so the theory is that the supplement could blunt some of the benefit you get from Kesimpta.

I want to be honest, though: this is a theoretical concern based on how these things behave in the lab, not from real cases of people having MS flares because of larch. It's a low-level worry, not an alarm. Still, since your treatment is important, it's worth a quick chat with your neurologist or pharmacist before adding this supplement rather than deciding on your own.

Kesimpta is used to treat relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS) in adults. This includes clinically isolated syndrome (a first MS episode), relapsing-remitting MS (the most common form, with flares followed by recovery periods), and active secondary progressive MS (when the disease slowly worsens but still has active flares).

It is designed to reduce relapses and slow disease activity by targeting certain immune cells believed to drive MS damage.
