Here's the gist for your Airduo Respiclick inhaler. Both ingredients — the steroid fluticasone and the long-acting bronchodilator salmeterol — are cleared from your body by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Lemongrass, and especially its citral compound, may slow that enzyme down. In theory, that could let more of the medicine linger, nudging up the chance of side effects like a hoarse voice, mouth thrush, a faster or pounding heartbeat, jitteriness, or hand tremor.

The catch: this comes only from lab and animal studies, not from real people, so it's far from proven. A cup of lemongrass tea or the herb in cooking is very unlikely to matter. Concentrated supplements or the essential oil are a different story — run those past your pharmacist or doctor first.
