Fluticasone Proprionate, Salmeterol falls under QT INTERVAL-PROLONGING DRUGS — the group Ephedra interacts with.

Theoretically, ephedra might have an additive effect with drugs that prolong the QT interval.
Even in healthy volunteers, EKG changes including prolonged QT interval and premature atrial contractions have been reported with ingestion of recommended doses of ephedra. Ephedra may have an additive effect with drugs that prolong the QT interval. This may increase the risk of ventricular arrhythmias.

Here's the thing to know about combining ephedra with your Airduo Respiclick. The salmeterol part of this inhaler is a long-acting beta agonist, which means it can already nudge your heart rate up and, in some people, affect the heart's electrical timing (what doctors call the QT interval). Ephedra is a strong stimulant that does very similar things. Stack them together and the effects can add up, raising the chance of a fast or irregular heartbeat, palpitations, jitteriness, or in rare cases a dangerous heart rhythm.

This is rated as a serious interaction, and remember ephedra is banned in U.S. supplements for good safety reasons. I would not recommend using it at all, especially alongside an inhaler like this. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor about safer options before making any changes.

Your Airduo Respiclick inhaler pairs an inhaled steroid (fluticasone) with a long-acting bronchodilator called salmeterol. Salmeterol is a beta-agonist, meaning it gently stimulates the same heart and lung receptors that ephedra's stimulants (ephedrine) hit. So you are essentially stacking two stimulants on top of each other. In theory, this could push your heart harder than intended, leading to a faster heartbeat, palpitations, jitteriness, tremor, or higher blood pressure.

I want to be honest: this concern is based on pharmacology and how these compounds behave, not on a pile of human studies, so it is theoretical. But ephedra is banned in U.S. supplements for good reason, and I would not recommend it at all. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor about safer options rather than combining these.
