Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Tisotumab Vedotin-Tftv
Tisotumab Vedotin-Tftv falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Lime interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist with Tivdak (tisotumab vedotin-tftv). The chemotherapy part of this drug, called MMAE, is partly broken down by a liver enzyme named CYP3A4. Some lab and animal studies suggest that compounds in lime juice can slow that enzyme down. In theory, if lime blocked CYP3A4, a bit more of the drug's active piece could linger in your body, which might mean stronger side effects like nausea, hair loss, tiredness, nerve tingling, or eye irritation.
I want to be honest though: this is based only on rat studies using high doses of lime juice, not people getting Tivdak. A squeeze of lime in your food almost certainly won't matter. Since this drug is given by your cancer team, just mention any concentrated lime products to them or your pharmacist.
