Here's the simple version: insulin lispro already does the heavy lifting of lowering your blood sugar at mealtimes. Some early lab and animal research hints that concentrated oregano may nudge blood sugar down a little on its own. If that effect carried over to people, stacking it on top of your insulin could theoretically push your sugar too low, which we call hypoglycemia.

What that can feel like: shakiness, sweating, a racing heart, confusion, or feeling dizzy and weak. Keep in mind this is only a theoretical concern based on test-tube and animal studies, not human trials. Oregano sprinkled on your food is not the issue here. If you take concentrated oregano oil capsules, just give your pharmacist or doctor a heads-up and keep an eye on your readings.

What Is Insulin Lispro Injection Used For?

Brand names: Admelog, Admelog Solostar

Insulin lispro injection is used to improve glycemic control (blood sugar management) in people with diabetes mellitus. It is a rapid-acting insulin analog approved for use in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Admelog is specifically indicated to improve glycemic control in patients with diabetes mellitus. Humalog Mix75/25 is indicated to improve glycemic control in adults with diabetes mellitus; it is a fixed-ratio mixture of insulin lispro and insulin lispro protamine, and its fixed proportions do not allow for separate adjustment of basal (background) and prandial (mealtime) doses.
