Here's the simple version: both phenibut and sodium valproate (Epilim) calm down the brain and nervous system. Valproate already tends to cause drowsiness, dizziness, and slowed thinking on its own. Phenibut adds its own sedating, GABA-style effect on top of that. Stack the two and those effects can pile up, leaving you more sleepy, unsteady, foggy, or in rare cases breathing more slowly than is safe.

To be fair, this concern is theoretical, based on how these substances work rather than direct studies of the pair. But phenibut itself is a real worry. It isn't an approved supplement here, and it can cause dependence and rough withdrawal. Please talk with your doctor or pharmacist about safer options before mixing anything with your valproate.
