Policosanol is a mix of waxy alcohols (mostly octacosanol) made from sugar cane or other plant waxes, and it is often marketed as a natural way to lower cholesterol. Early studies from Cuba showed strong cholesterol-lowering effects, but independent studies in other countries have mostly failed to confirm these benefits. What Is Clonazepam Used For?

Brand names: Klonopin, Rivotril, Ceberclon

Clonazepam is approved to treat several types of seizures — including Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (a severe form of epilepsy), akinetic seizures (sudden loss of muscle tone), myoclonic seizures (sudden muscle jerks), and absence seizures (brief lapses of awareness) in patients who haven't responded to other medicines.

It is also approved for panic disorder, with or without agoraphobia (fear of situations that might cause panic). Panic disorder involves repeated, unexpected panic attacks along with ongoing worry about having more attacks.
