Anacaulase-bcdb falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Propolis interacts with.

Theoretically, propolis might increase the risk of bleeding when taken with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs.
In vitro research shows that propolis water extract and the propolis constituent, caffeic acid phenethyl ester, can inhibit platelet aggregation. Additionally, evidence from an animal model shows that taking propolis in addition to warfarin decreases INR, suggesting that propolis can decrease the effectiveness of warfarin.

Here's the thing about NexoBrid (anacaulase-bcdb): it's not a pill you swallow. It's an enzyme gel made from pineapple-based proteins that a clinician applies directly onto severe burn wounds to dissolve away dead tissue. Because it works right on the skin and isn't really processed through the liver the way blood thinners are, the propolis concern here is more general than specific.

The worry our database flags is a theoretical one, based only on lab and animal studies, where propolis seems to slow platelets a bit. Since NexoBrid is used on open burn wounds, anything that nudges bleeding could in theory mean a little more oozing at the treatment site. This is weak evidence, so don't panic, but please mention any propolis use to the burn team caring for you.
