Quillaia (soap bark tree) is a plant whose bark contains foaming compounds called saponins, and it is widely used as an emulsifier in foods and drinks. As a supplement or herbal remedy its benefits are not well proven, and large amounts can be irritating or toxic, so it should be used cautiously and only as directed.

About Infliximab Injection

What Is Infliximab Injection Used For?

Brand name: Remicade

Infliximab injection is used to treat several serious inflammatory conditions. It treats moderately to severely active Crohn's disease (including fistulizing disease) and ulcerative colitis in adults, and in children ages 6 and older. It also treats moderately to severely active rheumatoid arthritis (in combination with methotrexate), ankylosing spondylitis (a type of spinal arthritis), psoriatic arthritis, and chronic severe plaque psoriasis in adults.

Infliximab is intended for patients whose disease has not responded well enough to conventional therapies. It is available under the brand names INFLECTRA, Remicade, and Renflexis, all given by intravenous (IV) infusion.
