STIMULANT DRUGS
Why this applies to Methylphenidate
Methylphenidate falls under STIMULANT DRUGS — the group Raspberry Ketone interacts with.
Structurally, raspberry ketone resembles synephrine, a known stimulant agent. Heart palpitations, elevated blood pressure, coronary vasospasm, pulseless electrical activity arrest, and resistant polymorphic ventricular tachycardia have been reported in patients taking raspberry ketone.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist with raspberry ketone and your methylphenidate (Ritalin, Concerta). Methylphenidate is already a stimulant that can nudge up your heart rate and blood pressure. Raspberry ketone has a chemical shape similar to synephrine, another stimulant-like compound, so the worry is that stacking the two could add up and put extra strain on your heart. Think possible palpitations, a racing or pounding heartbeat, higher blood pressure, or feeling jittery and anxious.
I'll be honest with you though: this is largely theoretical and based on scattered case reports, not solid studies, and there's no good proof raspberry ketone even helps with weight loss. Still, two stimulant-type things together isn't worth the gamble. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding it.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Methylphenidate page
“Methylphenidate (Ritalin, Concerta, Metadate) is itself a stimulant, and that one fact shapes most of this list. The largest cluster of interacting supplements adds a second stimulant on top of it, from ephedra and its relatives to everyday caffeine sources like coffee and green tea, which can push heart rate and blood pressure higher…”

About Raspberry Ketone
What is Raspberry Ketone?
- Weight loss
- Fat burning
- Boosting metabolism
- Appetite support
- General 'fat-burner' supplement
Raspberry ketone is a natural aroma compound found in red raspberries that is heavily marketed for weight loss, but there is no good human evidence that it helps people lose weight. Most claims come from lab and animal studies using doses far higher than what you could get from food or typical supplements. If you choose to try it, talk to your pharmacist or doctor first.
