Theoretically, rice bran arabinoxylan compound might interfere with immunosuppressants by stimulating the immune system. In laboratory and human research, rice bran arabinoxylan compound has been shown to stimulate the activity of immune cells.
Some immunosuppressants include azathioprine (Imuran), basiliximab (Simulect), cyclosporine (Neoral, Sandimmune), daclizumab (Zenapax), muromonab-CD3 (OKT3, Orthoclone OKT3), mycophenolate (CellCept), tacrolimus (FK506, Prograf), sirolimus (Rapamune), prednisone (Deltasone, Orasone), corticosteroids (glucocorticoids), and others.

Here's the thinking behind this one. Xolair works by quieting part of your immune system, specifically the IgE antibodies that drive allergic asthma, hives, and nasal polyps. Rice bran arabinoxylan, on the other hand, is sold as an immune stimulant. So in theory, a product that revs the immune system up could work against a medicine designed to calm it down, and you might notice your symptoms (wheezing, itching, hives) creeping back.

That said, this is only a theoretical concern. It's based on how these two behave in the lab, not on real cases of people on Xolair losing control of their asthma because of this supplement. I wouldn't lose sleep over it, but since Xolair is a serious medication, it's worth mentioning to your pharmacist or doctor before you add this product.

Early small studies suggest it may affect certain immune cells, but high-quality human evidence is very limited, and it should never replace standard medical care. About Omalizumab Injection

What Is Omalizumab Injection Used For?

Brand name: Xolair

Xolair is used for several allergy-driven conditions. It treats moderate to severe persistent asthma in adults and children 6 and older whose symptoms aren't controlled by inhaled corticosteroids alone and who test positive for a perennial allergen (like dust mites or pet dander). It also treats chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (ongoing sinus inflammation with polyp growth) in adults 18 and older when nasal corticosteroids haven't worked well enough.

Xolair is approved to help reduce allergic reactions — including anaphylaxis (severe, life-threatening allergic reactions) — from accidental food exposures in adults and children as young as 1 year old with IgE-mediated food allergy. It is always used alongside food allergen avoidance, not as a substitute. Finally, Xolair treats chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU — ongoing hives with no known cause) in adults and adolescents 12 and older who still have symptoms despite taking antihistamines. It is not for emergency treatment of allergic reactions and not for other forms of hives.
