Here's the thing to know with Hyzaar, which pairs hydrochlorothiazide (a water pill) with losartan. The hydrochlorothiazide side already nudges your body to lose some potassium through the urine. Senna works in a different way, pulling fluid and minerals out as it moves things through your gut, and that can include potassium too. So if you lean on senna heavily or for too long, the two can add up and drop your potassium lower than you want.

Low potassium can leave you feeling tired, crampy, or weak, and sometimes cause an irregular heartbeat. To be fair, this is a theoretical concern based mostly on how these work, not strong real-world data, and the losartan portion actually tends to hold onto a little potassium. Occasional, short-term senna use is unlikely to be a problem. Just check with your pharmacist before using it regularly.
