Strawberry + Loperamide
Loperamide brand names: Imodium, Loperamide.
Strawberry has a moderate interaction with Loperamide. In vitro research suggests that strawberry extract can inhibit p-glycoprotein efflux.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
P-GLYCOPROTEIN SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Loperamide
Loperamide falls under P-GLYCOPROTEIN SUBSTRATES — the group Strawberry interacts with.
Drugs that might be affected include some chemotherapeutic agents (etoposide, paclitaxel, vinblastine, vincristine, vindesine), antifungals (ketoconazole, itraconazole), protease inhibitors (amprenavir, indinavir, nelfinavir, saquinavir), H2 antagonists (cimetidine, ranitidine), some calcium channel blockers (diltiazem, verapamil), corticosteroids, erythromycin, cisapride (Propulsid), fexofenadine (Allegra), cyclosporine, loperamide (Imodium), quinidine, and others.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version. Your body uses a tiny built-in pump called p-glycoprotein to push loperamide (Imodium) back out of your gut and to keep it from crossing into your brain. Lab studies hint that strawberry extract may slow that pump down. If the pump works less, a little more loperamide could stick around than usual.
What might that look like in real life? Mostly more of loperamide's normal effects: constipation, belly cramping, or feeling drowsy. The important thing to know is that this is theoretical and based only on test-tube research, not on people. Eating strawberries as food is very unlikely to cause trouble. If you're using concentrated strawberry supplements, just mention it to your pharmacist or doctor first.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Loperamide page
“Loperamide (Imodium) works safely in part because a gut transporter, P-glycoprotein, keeps most of each dose out of the bloodstream, and the biggest group on this list, 37 ingredients, acts on that transporter. St.”

About Strawberry
What is Strawberry?
- General antioxidant support
- Heart and blood vessel health
- Blood sugar support
- Skin and oral health
- Source of vitamin C and fiber
Strawberry is a popular, nutrient-rich fruit that supplies vitamin C, fiber, and antioxidant plant compounds.
