Here's the thing to watch with this combo. Doxidan contains casanthranol, a stimulant laxative, paired with docusate, a stool softener. Stimulant laxatives don't change how Strophanthus is broken down, but if they're overused they can flush out important minerals, especially potassium, through frequent loose stools.

Why does that matter? Strophanthus works just like digoxin, and low potassium makes the heart more sensitive to these cardiac glycosides. That can tip you toward toxicity even at a normal dose, with symptoms like nausea, a slow or irregular heartbeat, or feeling dizzy. This concern is theoretical and mainly applies to heavy or daily laxative use, not occasional use. Since Strophanthus already needs close medical oversight, please loop in your doctor or pharmacist before pairing these.
