Strophanthus + Beclomethasone
Beclomethasone brand names: Beclovent, Vanceril.
Strophanthus has a moderate interaction with Beclomethasone. Use of corticosteroids may cause electrolyte depletion and increase the risk of strophanthus toxicity.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CORTICOSTEROIDS
Why this applies to Beclomethasone
Beclomethasone falls under CORTICOSTEROIDS — the group Strophanthus interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing to know with this pairing. Strophanthus contains potent heart compounds (cardiac glycosides) that behave a lot like digoxin, and how safe they are depends partly on your body's mineral balance, especially potassium. Beclomethasone (Beclovent, Vanceril) is an inhaled steroid for asthma, and corticosteroids can sometimes lower potassium levels. When potassium drops, your heart can become more sensitive to Strophanthus, which raises the chance of its toxic effects, like an irregular or dangerously slow heartbeat.
I'll be honest, this concern is theoretical, based on how these drugs work rather than real cases, and inhaled beclomethasone delivers far less steroid body-wide than pills. Still, Strophanthus is genuinely risky and should only be used under a doctor's care. Please loop in your pharmacist or physician before combining them.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Beclomethasone page
“Most people on beclomethasone (Beclovent, Vanceril) use it daily to keep asthma or nasal allergies quiet, and plenty also take herbal products, which is where this list earns real caution. Of the 202 ingredients on this page, four rate major, and those deserve your attention ahead of everything else.”

About Strophanthus
What is Strophanthus?
- Heart failure
- Angina (chest pain)
- Irregular heartbeat
- Circulation support
- Traditional African arrow poison (historical)
Strophanthus is a plant that contains powerful heart-affecting compounds called cardiac glycosides (the best known is ouabain/g-strophanthin). Because these substances can strongly affect heart rhythm and are toxic in the wrong amount, Strophanthus is not a casual supplement and should never be used without close medical supervision. Reliable modern evidence for its supplement use is limited.
About Beclomethasone Oral Inhalation
What Is Beclomethasone Oral Inhalation Used For?
Brand names: Beclovent, Vanceril
Beclomethasone dipropionate HFA inhalation aerosol (brand: Qvar Redihaler) is used for the ongoing, daily management of asthma in adults and children 5 years of age and older. It is a preventive (maintenance) therapy — not a rescue inhaler — meaning it helps control asthma over time rather than treating sudden symptoms.
Important: Qvar Redihaler is not for the relief of sudden asthma attacks or acute bronchospasm. Always keep a separate fast-acting (rescue) inhaler on hand for those moments.
