Oseni combines two diabetes medicines (alogliptin and pioglitazone) that work to lower your blood sugar. The concern here isn't about how your body breaks these drugs down. Instead, haritaki itself may have its own mild blood-sugar-lowering effect, based mostly on animal studies. So if you take both together, the two could add up and push your sugar lower than expected.

To be clear, this is a theoretical interaction with limited human evidence, so I don't want to alarm you. But it's worth watching for signs of low blood sugar like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or feeling unusually hungry. If you'd like to try haritaki, check your levels more closely and chat with your pharmacist or doctor first before adding it.
