Tocotrienols + Ibuprofen
Ibuprofen brand names: Motrin, Children's Motrin, Advil, Children's Advil, Fenbid Forte Gel, and others.
Tocotrienols has a minor interaction with Ibuprofen. Concomitant use of tocotrienols with anticoagulant or antiplatelet agents might increase the risk of bleeding.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
Why this applies to Ibuprofen
Ibuprofen falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Tocotrienols interacts with.
Taking tocotrienols orally inhibits experimentally-induced platelet aggregation in humans. Theoretically tocotrienols might increase the risk of bleeding if taken with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs. However, tocotrienols 400-800 mg daily have been used with aspirin and/or clopidogrel for 1 year with no clear cumulative antiplatelet effects and no reports of bleeding.
Interaction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans..
Here's the gist with tocotrienols and ibuprofen. Ibuprofen already nudges your blood toward being a little slower to clot, since it's an NSAID that affects platelets and can irritate the stomach lining. Tocotrienols, in lab and human testing, also seem to make platelets slightly less sticky. So in theory, stacking the two could add up and bump your bleeding risk a touch.
The good news is this is rated minor and unlikely. In one study, people took tocotrienols (400 to 800 mg daily) alongside antiplatelet drugs for a year with no real bleeding problems. Still, if you notice easy bruising, nosebleeds, black or bloody stools, or stomach pain, loop in your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.

About Tocotrienols
What is Tocotrienols?
- Heart and cholesterol support
- Antioxidant support
- Liver health (fatty liver)
- Bone health
- Brain and nerve protection
Tocotrienols are a less common form of vitamin E with strong antioxidant activity studied mostly for cholesterol, liver, and heart health. Early research is interesting but far from conclusive, and a standard dose is not established. They are generally well tolerated, but talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using them, especially during pregnancy or if you take blood thinners.

Ibuprofen Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Ibuprofen as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Tocotrienols — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
