If you take Stalevo (carbidopa/levodopa/entacapone) for Parkinson's and you're curious about valerian for sleep, here's the honest picture. The entacapone piece of this combo is partly cleared through a liver process called glucuronidation. Some lab and test-tube studies suggest valerian might slow that process a bit, which could in theory let entacapone build up slightly and bump up dopamine-related effects.

What that could look like in real life: more nausea, dizziness, low blood pressure when standing, or extra involuntary movements (dyskinesia). That said, this is only weak laboratory evidence, not something seen reliably in people, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, since this is a finely balanced Parkinson's regimen, please run any valerian product by your pharmacist or doctor first.
