What’s inside
Partial disclosure
Best BCAA Green Fusion contains 8 active ingredients, several of them oils and amino acid compounds. The three glycyl-alanyl-lysine peptides are amino acid blends meant to support muscle recovery.
You'll also find conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), avocado oil, safflower oil, and coconut oil—all fat-based ingredients—plus agmatine, a compound derived from the amino acid arginine. The product also contains several inactive ingredients including maltodextrin (a carbohydrate filler), natural and artificial flavors, malic acid, citric acid, silica, a fiber blend, two artificial sweeteners (sucralose and acesulfame-K), and two food dyes (Yellow No.
5 and Blue No. 1).
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence for these ingredients is limited. Avocado oil is possibly effective for high cholesterol, but the data on metabolic syndrome, aging skin, and obesity is insufficient.
Safflower oil, coconut oil, and agmatine all show insufficient evidence for the health claims associated with them—including diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and various neurological conditions. The evidence we hold doesn't establish that this product works for athletic performance, muscle recovery, or any specific health purpose.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Most of these ingredients are generally well tolerated when taken by mouth. Avocado oil is widely eaten as food and well tolerated, though concentrated supplements in pregnancy haven't been well studied and breastfeeding safety is unknown.
Safflower oil carries a caution: concentrated flower extracts and high-dose supplements have less safety data, and medicinal amounts should be avoided in pregnancy because it may stimulate the uterus. Rare but serious adverse effects include allergic reactions to coconut (ranging from hives to anaphylaxis, especially in people with tree nut allergies) and case reports of liver failure linked to over-use of safflower oil for weight loss—though the doses involved aren't clear.
Agmatine is generally well tolerated short-term but long-term safety in humans isn't well studied; it should be avoided in pregnancy and while breastfeeding due to insufficient safety data. Common side effects from agmatine include diarrhea, indigestion, and nausea, which appeared within 2–3 days in a small number of trial participants.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check your medications before starting if you take warfarin or other blood thinners (anticoagulants)—avocado oil and safflower oil may reduce their effectiveness or increase bleeding risk. If you're on diabetes drugs, agmatine and safflower oil may affect how your blood sugar is controlled.
If you take blood pressure medications, agmatine may lower your blood pressure further.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glancePartially disclosed formula with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This product is for people interested in amino acid supplementation and plant-oil nutrition, but it's not for anyone taking blood thinners, diabetes medications, or blood pressure medications without checking first. If you have a tree nut allergy, be cautious because coconut is grouped with tree nuts for allergen purposes and can trigger anaphylaxis.
Talk to your pharmacist before starting, especially if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or on any prescription medication.

Best BCAA Green Fusion by BPI Sports Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Best BCAA Green Fusion by BPI Sports contains several ingredients with documented interactions affecting blood thinners and diabetes medications.
The most serious concern is safflower oil, which carries a Moderate interaction with warfarin (Coumadin) and other blood thinners (anticoagulants). High doses of safflower oil can increase bleeding risk, and there's one case report of a patient on warfarin who developed bleeding and elevated INR levels after taking a safflower extract.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Avocado oil also has a Moderate interaction with warfarin, where it may reduce the drug's effectiveness. Additionally, safflower oil and coconut oil both interact with diabetes medications.
Safflower oil at high doses might raise blood sugar levels, potentially reducing how well diabetes drugs work. Coconut oil carries a Minor interaction with diabetes drugs, theoretically increasing the risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia).
Agmatine, another ingredient here, has Moderate interactions with both blood pressure medications (antihypertensive drugs) and diabetes drugs—it may lower blood pressure and blood sugar further, increasing the risk of dizziness or dangerously low glucose levels.
We could not check three other ingredients: Conjugated Linoleic Acid, Glycyl-Alanyl-Lysine-L-Leucine, Glycyl-Alanyl-Lysine-L-Isoleucine, and Glycyl-Alanyl-Lysine-L-Valine. Altogether, these interactions span 372 individual medications.
If you take warfarin, diabetes drugs, or blood pressure medications, run your exact prescriptions through the search tool on this page before starting this product.

For each ingredient in Best BCAA Green Fusion with known interactions, here are the types of medications they can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Agmatine
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, agmatine might increase the risk of hypoglycemia when taken with antidiabetes drugs.
Animal and in vitro research suggest that agmatine has mild hypoglycemic effects.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, agmatine might increase the risk of hypotension when taken with antihypertensive drugs.
Animal research suggests that agmatine can modestly decrease heart rate and blood pressure.
Safflower Oil
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
High doses of safflower oil might increase the risk of bleeding when taken with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Small clinical studies show that taking safflower oil, approximately 55 grams daily for 2-3 weeks, decreases platelet aggregation. However, taking lower doses of safflower oil, such as 5 grams daily for 4 weeks, does not seem to affect platelet function. In one case report, a 74-year-old male stabilized on warfarin developed urinary tract bleeding and an elevated INR after taking a safflower extract 20 grams daily for 14 days.
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, safflower oil might alter the effects of antidiabetes drugs.
Some clinical research shows that taking safflower oil 10 grams daily for 3 weeks can increase fasting blood glucose in patients with type 2 diabetes. However, clinical research in patients with metabolic syndrome with or without impaired glucose tolerance shows that taking safflower oil 8 grams daily for 12 weeks reduces fasting glucose levels by around 8 mg/dL. Some clinical research also shows that taking safflower oil 8 grams daily for 16 weeks does not affect fasting glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes.
Warfarin
Theoretically, safflower oil might increase the risk of bleeding when taken with warfarin.
In one case report, a 74-year-old male stabilized on warfarin developed urinary tract bleeding and an elevated INR after taking a safflower extract 20 grams daily for 14 days.
Coconut Oil
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, taking coconut with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Animal research suggests that coconut milk might increase insulin levels and/or decrease blood glucose levels.
Avocado Oil
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Avocado may antagonize the anticoagulant effects of warfarin.
Avocado may antagonize the anticoagulant effects of warfarin; however, there has been only one case report of this interaction.
