Cardiokinase Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Cardiokinase against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Cardiokinase by Iagen Professional
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
Cardiokinase contains a single active ingredient: nattokinase, an enzyme derived from fermented soybeans. It's designed to support cardiovascular health by promoting healthy blood flow.
The softgel capsule also contains several inactive ingredients—soybean oil, glycerin fatty ester, beeswax, gelatin, and glycerin—which serve as the capsule and delivery system.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence for nattokinase in this product is not established. We hold no reliable data showing it works for angina, atherosclerosis, cancer, cardiovascular disease, or chronic fatigue syndrome.
If you're considering it for a specific heart or circulation concern, talk it over with your doctor to explore what the research actually supports for your situation.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Nattokinase is generally well tolerated in the short term, but its blood-thinning effects mean you should be cautious if you have any bleeding risk—including bleeding disorders or recent surgery. The safety data advises against nattokinase in pregnancy and while breastfeeding.
Additionally, nattokinase can trigger allergic reactions in people sensitive to natto or its components; symptoms may include throat or airway swelling and can occur within 2 hours of taking it. Rare reports of bleeding, including serious brain bleeding, have been documented when nattokinase is combined with blood thinners.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking Cardiokinase if you're on blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs (like warfarin, apixaban, dabigatran, rivaroxaban, aspirin, or clopidogrel)—nattokinase raises the risk of bleeding. Also double-check any blood pressure medications you take, since nattokinase may lower blood pressure further.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Cardiokinase is an option if you're interested in nattokinase for circulation support, but it's not something to start without checking your medications first—especially if you take blood thinners or blood pressure drugs. It's not for pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Talk with your doctor or pharmacist before adding it to your routine.

Cardiokinase by Iagen Professional Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Cardiokinase by Iagen Professional contains nattokinase, an enzyme that can interact with medications that affect blood clotting and blood pressure.
The most serious concern is with blood thinners and antiplatelet drugs (like warfarin, apixaban, dabigatran, rivaroxaban, aspirin, and clopidogrel): nattokinase has blood-thinning effects of its own, and combining it with these medications raises the risk of bleeding. There's a documented case of brain bleeding in a patient who added nattokinase to aspirin therapy.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Nattokinase may also lower blood pressure, so it can interact with blood pressure medications (antihypertensives)—theoretically increasing the risk of blood pressure dropping too low.
Although this product contains only one active ingredient, we were able to check it and found these documented interactions. Altogether, these interactions span 289 individual medications.
Use the medication checker on this page to look up any blood thinners or blood pressure drugs you take before starting this product.
