Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
CinnaTrax contains one active ingredient: organic Ceylon cinnamon at 350 mg per capsule. The capsule itself is made from vegetable cellulose, and it also contains rice flour and rice extract as inactive ingredients.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
The evidence for what cinnamon can do is mixed. For obesity and diabetes — the two conditions it's most often marketed for — the data we have shows it's possibly ineffective.
For allergies, COPD, and the common cold, there isn't enough reliable evidence yet to say whether it works.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Taken by mouth, Ceylon cinnamon is generally well tolerated. The most common side effects in people who've used it are bloating, indigestion, and nausea — these are uncommon, but they do happen.
At food amounts (like what you'd eat in cooking), it's considered likely safe. At supplement doses like this one, we know less, so talk with your pharmacist or doctor first.
There's also a very rare case of bleeding reported in someone who took a tablespoon of cinnamon daily for months and then had surgery — this is unusual, but worth being aware of. A small number of people have reported itching or rashes with oral cinnamon, and some reported a skin reaction after being sensitized to cinnamon in other ways.
During pregnancy, the safety data says it's likely safe; while breastfeeding, it's rated likely safe as well, though supplement-strength doses haven't been well studied.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Check any blood pressure medication (antihypertensive drugs) or diabetes medication (antidiabetes drugs) you're taking before starting this product. Both interactions are rated Moderate, meaning the cinnamon could add to their effects and potentially lower your blood pressure or blood sugar too much.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Ceylon cinnamon at this dose may be worth trying if you're curious about its traditional uses, but the evidence it actually works for obesity or diabetes is weak. If you take blood pressure or diabetes medication, check your specific drugs with our tool first — the interactions are real.
Otherwise, it's generally well tolerated, though bloating and nausea can happen.

CinnaTrax 350 mg by VitaMonk Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
CinnaTrax 350 mg contains organic Ceylon cinnamon, which interacts with two major drug categories.
The most serious concern is with blood pressure drugs (antihypertensives). Ceylon cinnamon may lower blood pressure on its own, and combining it with blood pressure medication could push your numbers too low — a condition called low blood pressure (hypotension).
Animal studies show cinnamon relaxes blood vessels, which is how it may work.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Second, Ceylon cinnamon may lower blood glucose (blood sugar), so it could have an additive effect with diabetes medications. If you're on diabetes drugs, this combination might lower your blood sugar more than intended, and you may need a dose adjustment.
Altogether, these interactions span 258 individual medications. If you take a blood pressure or diabetes medication, use the interaction checker on this page with your exact drug name before starting CinnaTrax.
