Collagen Enhance Ingredients & Drug Interactions
by ResVitale
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Collagen Enhance against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
Collagen Enhance contains 4 active ingredients. Chondroitin Sulfate and Hydrolyzed Collagen Type II work to support joint and skin health, while Hyaluronic Acid helps maintain moisture and elasticity.
Resveratrol Polyphenol Complex adds antioxidant support. The product also contains inactive ingredients — vegetable cellulose, rice bran, and silica — that serve as the capsule material and flow agents.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Chondroitin Sulfate is possibly effective for osteoarthritis and cataracts, though evidence for aging skin, osteoporosis, high cholesterol, and colorectal health is insufficient. Hydrolyzed Collagen Type II shows possible effectiveness for aging skin and dry skin, but was found possibly ineffective for muscle strength.
Hyaluronic Acid is possibly effective for dry eye and venous leg ulcers, with insufficient evidence for aging skin and allergic rhinitis. Resveratrol is possibly effective for obesity and allergic rhinitis, but was found possibly ineffective for cardiovascular disease and high cholesterol.
Overall, the evidence base for this combination's specific uses isn't fully established in our data.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Chondroitin Sulfate is generally well tolerated short-term, though quality varies. Common side effects include abdominal pain, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, heartburn, and nausea.
Rare reports exist of liver damage. Skin symptoms — swelling, hair loss, rashes, and hives — have occurred, especially in products combining chondroitin with glucosamine.
One case of asthma worsening was reported. Hyaluronic Acid and Hydrolyzed Collagen Type II are generally well tolerated; collagen may rarely cause nausea, indigestion, diarrhea, or gas.
Resveratrol is well tolerated at typical doses; higher doses may cause diarrhea and digestive upset. Rare reports include headache, fatigue, and skin rash.
Chondroitin safety data advises against use in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Hyaluronic Acid and Resveratrol lack sufficient pregnancy safety data — talk with your doctor.
Hydrolyzed Collagen has limited pregnancy and breastfeeding data; caution is advised.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Double-check this product if you take warfarin or other blood thinners (anticoagulants or antiplatelet drugs) — Moderate risk of increased bleeding. Also verify any medications your liver processes, especially those metabolized by CYP2C19, CYP1A2, CYP3A4, or CYP2E1 enzymes — Moderate theoretical risk of higher drug levels, though human cases are rare.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This product may help with aging skin, joint comfort, and eye health, though the evidence is mixed. If you take warfarin, any blood thinner, or medications processed by liver enzymes, check your specific drugs with the tool on this page before starting.
Pregnant and breastfeeding individuals should talk with their doctor or pharmacist first — safety data is limited for several ingredients.

Collagen Enhance by ResVitale Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Collagen Enhance by ResVitale contains two ingredients with documented drug interactions.
The most serious concern is Chondroitin Sulfate, which may increase the blood-thinning effects of warfarin (Coumadin) — a Moderate severity interaction. The effect appears strongest when chondroitin is combined with glucosamine, though the interaction with chondroitin alone remains unclear.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Resveratrol Polyphenol Complex also carries Moderate interactions with several drug types. It may theoretically increase levels of medications processed by your liver's cytochrome P450 enzymes (CYP2C19, CYP1A2, CYP3A4, and CYP2E1), though human cases of this are rare or not yet reported.
Resveratrol may also increase bleeding risk if you're taking blood thinners (anticoagulants) or antiplatelet drugs like aspirin. Hyaluronic Acid and Hydrolyzed Collagen Type II have no known interactions documented in our data.
Altogether, these interactions span 823 individual medications. Please check your exact medications with the search tool on this page before starting this product, especially if you take warfarin or any blood thinner.

For each ingredient in Collagen Enhance with known interactions, here are the types of medications they can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Resveratrol Polyphenol Complex(TM)
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Resveratrol may have antiplatelet effects and may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Resveratrol seems to have antiplatelet effects.
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP1A2.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit CYP1A2 enzymes. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 2C19 (Cyp2C19) Substrates
Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C19.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit CYP2C19 enzymes. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 2E1 (Cyp2E1) Substrates
Resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2E1.
In vitro research suggests that resveratrol inhibits CYP2E1 isoenzyme. Also, a pharmacokinetic study shows that taking resveratrol 500 mg daily for 10 days prior to taking a single dose of chlorzoxazone 250 mg increases the maximum concentration of chlorzoxazone by about 54%, the area under the curve of chlorzoxazone by about 72%, and the half-life of chlorzoxazone by about 35%. Chlorzoxazone is used as a probe drug for CYP2E1.
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates
Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit the CYP3A4 enzyme. However, clinical research shows that taking resveratrol 3000 mg daily for 8 weeks does not necessitate dose adjustments to medications metabolized by CYP3A4.
Chondroitin Sulfate
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Taking chondroitin in combination with glucosamine might increase the anticoagulant effects of warfarin. However, the effect of chondroitin alone is unclear.
There have been multiple reports of increased international normalized ratio (INR) in patients taking warfarin with glucosamine, with or without chondroitin. The lack of reports with chondroitin alone seem to suggest that the interactions occurring in these reports may have been due to glucosamine. In two individual case reports, glucosamine/chondroitin combinations were associated with a significant increase in INR in patients previously stabilized on warfarin. Additionally, 20 voluntary case reports to the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) have linked glucosamine plus chondroitin with increased INR, bruising, and bleeding in patients who were also taking warfarin. There have also been 20 additional case reports to the World Health Organization (WHO) that link glucosamine alone, without chondroitin, to increased INR in patients taking warfarin.
