Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
This product contains 5 active ingredients. Sodium is present in the formula and plays roles in nerve and muscle function, though the amount here needs to be considered if you're watching your sodium intake for blood pressure or heart health.
Medium chain triglycerides are a type of fat that your body can use quickly for energy. The Bone Broth Matrix Blend, beef broth, turkey broth, and chicken broth provide collagen and other proteins — collagen is the main structural protein in connective tissue, skin, and joints.
The inactive ingredients include collagen peptides (Peptan B 5000 HD), hydrolyzed beef protein, maltodextrin, corn starch, turmeric root powder, and silicon dioxide (an anti-caking agent).
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
In our data, sodium's effectiveness is established only for cystic fibrosis (where it's likely effective — the body loses large amounts of salt in sweat) and possibly effective for reducing kidney damage from amphotericin B, a strong antifungal. For other conditions like bipolar disorder and congestive heart failure, there isn't enough reliable evidence to rate sodium's benefit.
The broth and collagen ingredients in this product don't have effectiveness ratings in our data.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Sodium is well tolerated in normal dietary amounts up to the recommended daily level of 2.3 grams, but high intake is linked to high blood pressure and strain on the heart and kidneys. The safety data advises caution: avoid sodium supplements or very high intake without talking to your doctor first.
Normal dietary sodium is fine. During pregnancy and lactation, sodium is rated likely safe, though one safety note rates it possibly unsafe — talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether this product fits your situation.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you start, double-check with your pharmacist if you take lithium, blood pressure medications (antihypertensives), corticosteroids, or any sodium-containing drugs — these all have Moderate interactions with the sodium in this product. Also mention didanosine, sodium phosphate laxatives, or tolvaptan if you take them.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
If you don't take medications that interact with sodium — especially blood pressure drugs or lithium — and you're not restricting sodium for health reasons, this product may be worth considering. If you take any prescription medication, particularly for blood pressure, mood, heart rhythm, or corticosteroids, check with your pharmacist first.
The broth and collagen components don't have documented interactions, but sodium is a real player here.

Collagen + Protein Bone Broth Unflavored with Tumeric by Terra Origin Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Collagen + Protein Bone Broth Unflavored with Turmeric by Terra Origin contains sodium, which interacts with a number of medications.
Sodium can alter how your body handles lithium (a mood stabilizer), potentially raising lithium levels to toxic amounts if you increase sodium intake, or lowering them dangerously if you cut back — either way, your dose may need adjustment.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
The product also affects blood pressure medications (antihypertensives), corticosteroids, and several others through sodium's role in fluid balance and electrolyte regulation. High sodium intake can reduce how well blood pressure drugs work and may increase the risk of dangerously high sodium levels (hypernatremia) in people taking corticosteroids, didanosine, sodium phosphate laxatives, tolvaptan, or other sodium-containing drugs.
All of these interactions are rated Moderate in severity.
We could not check the other ingredients — medium chain triglycerides, beef broth, turkey broth, and chicken broth — because we hold no interaction data for them. Altogether, these interactions span 203 individual medications.

For each ingredient in Collagen + Protein Bone Broth Unflavored with Tumeric with known interactions, here are the types of medications it can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Sodium
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, a high intake of dietary sodium might reduce the effectiveness of antihypertensive drugs.
High intake of dietary sodium can increase systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Also, high intake of sodium may necessitate increased use of antihypertensive medications to achieve blood pressure control in some patients, such as those with chronic kidney disease.
Corticosteroids
Concomitant use of mineralocorticoids and some glucocorticoids with sodium supplements might increase the risk of hypernatremia.
Mineralocorticoids and some glucocorticoids (corticosteroids) cause sodium retention. This effect is dose-related and depends on mineralocorticoid potency. It is most common with hydrocortisone, cortisone, and fludrocortisone, followed by prednisone and prednisolone.
Didanosine (Videx)
Concomitant use of didanosine with additional sodium from dietary or supplemental sources may increase the risk of hypernatremia.
Didanosine formulations contain a significant amount of sodium.
Lithium
Altering dietary intake of sodium might alter the levels and clinical effects of lithium.
High sodium intake can reduce plasma concentrations of lithium by increasing lithium excretion. Reducing sodium intake can significantly increase plasma concentrations of lithium and cause lithium toxicity in patients being treated with lithium carbonate. Stabilizing sodium intake is shown to reduce the percentage of patients with lithium level fluctuations above 0.8 mEq/L. Patients taking lithium should avoid significant alterations in their dietary intake of sodium.
Sodium Phosphates
Theoretically, concomitant use of sodium phosphate with sodium supplements might increase the risk of hypernatremia.
Use of high doses (> 45 mL in 24 hours) of sodium phosphate, such as those used for bowel cleansing before surgery, can lead to serious electrolyte disturbances, including hypernatremia. The risk of hypernatremia is highest in the elderly and people with other risk factors for electrolyte disturbances.
Sodium-Containing Drugs
Concomitant use of sodium-containing drugs with additional sodium from dietary or supplemental sources may increase the risk of hypernatremia and long-term sodium-related complications.
The Chronic Disease Risk Reduction (CDRR) intake level of 2.3 grams of sodium daily indicates the intake at which it is believed that chronic disease risk increases for the apparently healthy population. Some medications contain high quantities of sodium. When used in conjunction with sodium supplements or high-sodium diets, the CDRR may be exceeded. Additionally, concomitant use may increase the risk for hypernatremia; this risk is highest in the elderly and people with other risk factors for electrolyte disturbances.
Tolvaptan (Samsca)
Theoretically, concomitant use of tolvaptan with sodium might increase the risk of hypernatremia.
Tolvaptan is a vasopressin receptor 2 antagonist that is used to increase sodium levels in patients with hyponatremia. Patients taking tolvaptan should use caution with the use of sodium salts such as sodium chloride.
