Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This capsule contains 3 active ingredients. Beta-1,3-glucan is a type of carbohydrate derived from yeast or mushrooms that's thought to support immune and heart health.
Lactoferrin is a protein found naturally in milk that binds iron and plays a role in immune defense. Immunoglobulin G is an antibody — a protein your immune system makes to recognize and fight foreign invaders.
The product also contains inactive ingredients: gelatin, cellulose, magnesium stearate, and silica, which are standard capsule fillers and binders.
Does it work?
Strong evidence
Beta-glucans in this product are likely effective for high cholesterol (dyslipidemia) and coronary heart disease based on clinical evidence. Lactoferrin shows possibly effective evidence for sepsis and pregnancy-related iron deficiency, but is rated likely ineffective for reducing fetal and premature infant deaths and for necrotizing enterocolitis (a serious intestinal condition in newborns).
We hold no effectiveness data in our records for Immunoglobulin G.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Beta-glucans from food are generally well tolerated, but concentrated supplements lack robust safety data — use caution. The most common side effect when applied to skin is contact dermatitis or mild skin reactions.
A small number of trial participants taking high-dose oral beta-glucans showed transient liver enzyme elevations. Lactoferrin is well tolerated at typical doses, though at very high doses (7.2 grams daily) constipation, diarrhea, anorexia, fatigue, and chills have been reported.
There isn't enough safety data on either ingredient during breastfeeding, and lactoferrin's safety in pregnancy is not fully established — talk with your doctor or pharmacist if you're pregnant or nursing.

Check your medications before starting, especially blood pressure drugs and immune suppressants (the documented moderate concerns). Use the search tool on this page to confirm whether any of your exact medicines are affected.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with strong clinical evidence behind its ingredients' uses. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This product may help with cholesterol and heart health if the beta-glucan evidence applies to you. If you take blood pressure medication or immune-suppressing drugs, check with your doctor or pharmacist before adding it — the interactions could affect how well your medications work.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding require medical guidance given the limited safety data.

Colostrum w/ Beta Glucan by Wonder Laboratories Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Colostrum w/ Beta Glucan by Wonder Laboratories has documented interactions through its beta-glucan content.
The most serious concern is a moderate risk with blood pressure medications (antihypertensives): beta-glucans may lower blood pressure further, raising the risk of excessively low blood pressure (hypotension) in people already taking these drugs.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Beta-glucans also carry a moderate interaction with immunosuppressants (drugs that weaken your immune system on purpose, like those taken after transplant or for autoimmune conditions). Beta-glucans are thought to boost immune function, which could work against what these medications are trying to do.
Lactoferrin, another active ingredient, shows no interactions documented in our data. Immunoglobulin G we could not check — we hold no data for it.
Altogether, these interactions span 293 individual medications.
Before you start this product, use the medication checker on this page to confirm your exact drugs, then talk it over with your doctor or pharmacist.
