What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Cordyceps against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
Cordyceps by Plum Flower contains one active ingredient: cordyceps mycelium powder. It's a fungal extract traditionally used to support energy and physical performance.
The capsule itself contains vegetarian cellulose and maltodextrin as inactive ingredients.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence for cordyceps is mixed and limited. For athletic performance, the data rates it as possibly ineffective — meaning the science doesn't back it up as a boost.
For sexual dysfunction, asthma, COPD, arrhythmia, and lung cancer, we don't have enough reliable evidence to rate it either way. In short, if you're buying this for a specific health goal, the science isn't there yet to say it'll help.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Cordyceps is generally well tolerated when used for up to a year, and side effects are uncommon. When they do show up, they're mild: abdominal discomfort, constipation, diarrhea, dry mouth, and throat discomfort — and they often ease up if you take it with food.
One rare case report linked a cordyceps product to liver inflammation (hepatitis), though it's unclear whether cordyceps itself or a contaminant was responsible, and the person recovered after stopping. There isn't enough safety data to use cordyceps during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
Talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether it's right for you in those situations. Product quality varies widely across brands, so source matters.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking Cordyceps by Plum Flower, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you take blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs (warfarin, aspirin, clopidogrel) — cordyceps may increase bleeding risk. Also flag immune-suppressing medications like cyclosporine, and testosterone therapy or supplements.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Cordyceps might appeal to you if you're looking for traditional energy support, but the science for most uses is weak or absent. If you take blood thinners, immune-suppressing drugs, or testosterone, check your exact medications with your doctor or pharmacist before starting.
Otherwise, it's generally well tolerated, though GI side effects can happen.

Cordyceps by Plum Flower Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Cordyceps mycelium powder by Plum Flower does interact with some medication types, though most interactions are still theoretical rather than proven in humans.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
The most serious concern is blood thinners (anticoagulants) and antiplatelet drugs — cordyceps may increase your bleeding risk. Lab and animal studies suggest it can slow down how platelets clump together, but we haven't seen this actually happen in people taking it with blood thinners.
Still, if you're on warfarin, aspirin, or similar drugs, this one needs a check before you start.
Immune-suppressing medications are another moderate concern. Animal research hints that cordyceps might stimulate your immune system in ways that could interfere with drugs like cyclosporine that intentionally dial down immunity.
Additionally, if you take testosterone (prescription or supplement), cordyceps might add to its effects, though the real-world impact isn't clear.
Altogether, these interactions span 249 individual medications. Use the tool on this page to look up your exact prescriptions before taking this product.

For each ingredient in Cordyceps with known interactions, here are the types of medications it can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Cordyceps mycelium powder
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, cordyceps may increase the risk of bleeding when used with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs.
In vitro and animal research suggests that cordyceps extract inhibits platelet aggregation and function. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Immunosuppressants
Theoretically, concurrent use of cordyceps might interfere with immunosuppressive therapy.
Animal and in vitro research suggests that cordyceps stimulates the immune system. However, limited clinical research suggests that taking cordyceps may lower the necessary therapeutic dose of the immunosuppressant cyclosporine, which suggests that cordyceps may have an immunosuppressive effect.
Testosterone
Theoretically, concurrent use of cordyceps and testosterone might have additive effects.
Animal research suggests that cordyceps can increase testosterone levels. The clinical significance of this finding is unclear.
