Cangrelor falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Cordyceps interacts with.

Theoretically, cordyceps may increase the risk of bleeding when used with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs.
In vitro and animal research suggests that cordyceps extract inhibits platelet aggregation and function. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the thing to know about Cangrelor (Kengreal): it's a strong IV blood thinner given in the hospital, usually during procedures like a stent placement to keep platelets from clumping. Cordyceps, in lab and animal studies, also seems to make platelets a little less sticky. So in theory, stacking the two could nudge your bleeding risk a bit higher, meaning more bruising, oozing at IV or catheter sites, or harder-to-stop bleeding.

I want to be honest, though: this overlap has only been seen in test tubes and animals, never reported in real people, so the concern is mostly theoretical. Since Cangrelor is given by your care team in a monitored setting, just let them know about any cordyceps you take so they can keep an eye out. Never stop or change anything on your own.
