Every active ingredient lists its own amount on the label.

Why this rating?
  • The label discloses an exact amount for 3 of its 3 active ingredients.
  • “Proprietary Blend” is a proprietary blend — the label doesn't break down how much of each component you get.

Form-XT contains three active ingredients: trans-resveratrol (a polyphenol found in grape skins and red wine), arimistane (a hormone-altering compound also called androst-3,5-diene-7,17-dione), and (-)-epicatechin (a type of flavonoid). The product also contains several inactive ingredients—microcrystalline cellulose, phosphatidylcholine, hydroxypropyl beta cyclodextrin, phytosterols, magnesium stearate, silica, and food colorants—that serve as fillers, binders, and capsule material.

Evidence for Intended Use · database check
By FDA rules, dietary supplements can’t claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease — so labels speak in careful marketing language. We discern each product’s intended use from its name, label claims, and label statements, then grade the clinical evidence for that use. How these ratings are computed
Not established

The graded evidence we hold for these ingredients covers different conditions than the ones this product is marketed for, so there's no established rating for its stated use.

Why this rating?
  • The label markets this product for: Bodybuilding, muscle building, and testosterone support.
  • We looked for evidence on: Athletic performance, Muscle strength, Lean muscle mass, Strength gains, Body composition.
  • The closest evidence on file: Arimistane is rated "Insufficient Reliable Evidence To Rate" for Athletic performance (Natural Medicines).
  • Also on file: Arimistane is rated "Insufficient Reliable Evidence To Rate" for Muscle strength.

Resveratrol is possibly effective for obesity and allergic rhinitis (hay fever), but the evidence suggests it is possibly ineffective for cardiovascular disease and high cholesterol. Arimistane has insufficient reliable evidence to rate for athletic performance, erectile dysfunction, muscle strength, sexual arousal, or obesity—meaning studies haven't established that it works for these purposes.

We hold no effectiveness data for (-)-epicatechin in this product.

How safe is it?

Well-documented data
Safety Information · database check
Well characterized

Adverse-effect, pregnancy, and general safety data are on file for most of these ingredients.

Why this rating?
  • We hold adverse-effect (side-effect) data for 1 of the 2 matched ingredients.
  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding safety ratings cover 2 of 2.
  • General safety write-ups exist for 2 of 2.
  • Remember: this measures how much safety information exists. Thin data is not the same as being safe.

Resveratrol is generally well tolerated at typical supplement doses, though high doses may cause digestive upset—diarrhea, loose stools, and gastrointestinal discomfort are the most common side effects. Long-term safety is not fully known.

Cases of headache, fatigue, memory loss, and a skin rash have been reported in clinical trials, though causality wasn't always established. Arimistane is a hormone-altering drug with very limited safety data; regulators warn against aromatase inhibitor supplements.

The safety data for arimistane during pregnancy advises against use because lowering estrogen could be harmful, and there is no data to support breastfeeding use—consult your doctor or pharmacist about either situation. Resveratrol concentrated supplements should be avoided during pregnancy, and the data does not support use while breastfeeding.

Moderate identified

The most serious documented interaction for these ingredients is Moderate. Check your medications for a personalized result.

Why this rating?
  • 2 of the 2 matched ingredients can interact with medications — Resveratrol, Arimistane.
  • The most serious interaction on file is rated Moderate.
  • Some involve high-stakes drug classes: anticoagulant / antiplatelet drugs.
  • For scale: 824 individual medications appear in the full list. A big number alone doesn't make a product dangerous — what matters is whether YOUR medication is on it, so run yours through the interaction checker on this page.

Before taking Form-XT, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you take anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs (blood thinners like warfarin, apixaban, or aspirin), since resveratrol may increase bleeding risk. Also double-check any medications metabolized by liver enzymes CYP2C19, CYP1A2, CYP2E1, or CYP3A4, and any aromatase inhibitors.

These interactions have not been extensively tested in humans, but the potential exists.

The bottom line

Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.

Form-XT combines a plant polyphenol (resveratrol) with a hormone-altering ingredient (arimistane) that carry meaningful drug interactions and limited safety information. If you take blood thinners, antiplatelet drugs, liver-metabolized medications, or aromatase inhibitors, you need to check this product with your doctor or pharmacist before starting.

Anyone of childbearing age should discuss arimistane's pregnancy and lactation risks with their healthcare provider.

Likelihood Possible Evidence D
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates

Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP1A2.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit CYP1A2 enzymes. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

Likelihood Possible Evidence D
Cytochrome P450 2C19 (Cyp2C19) Substrates

Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C19.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit CYP2C19 enzymes. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

Likelihood Possible Evidence D
Cytochrome P450 2E1 (Cyp2E1) Substrates

Resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2E1.
In vitro research suggests that resveratrol inhibits CYP2E1 isoenzyme. Also, a pharmacokinetic study shows that taking resveratrol 500 mg daily for 10 days prior to taking a single dose of chlorzoxazone 250 mg increases the maximum concentration of chlorzoxazone by about 54%, the area under the curve of chlorzoxazone by about 72%, and the half-life of chlorzoxazone by about 35%. Chlorzoxazone is used as a probe drug for CYP2E1.

Likelihood Probable Evidence B
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates

Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit the CYP3A4 enzyme. However, clinical research shows that taking resveratrol 3000 mg daily for 8 weeks does not necessitate dose adjustments to medications metabolized by CYP3A4.

Aromatase Inhibitors

It is believed that Arimistane inhibits the aromatase enzyme, which may interact with other aromatase inhibitors. This interaction could potentially increase the risk of side effects associated with low estrogen levels or from additive side effects, such as an increased risk of liver toxicity. It is recommended to consult with a healthcare provider before combining Arimistane with other aromatase inhibitors to assess the potential risks and benefits.

Form-XT by LG Sciences: Common Questions

Does Form-XT by LG Sciences interact with any medications?
Yes. Based on its ingredients, Form-XT has a known interaction with 823 medications. Use the checker to see how it interacts with a specific drug.
How can one product interact with so many drugs?
Form-XT contains 3 active ingredients, and an interaction can come from any of them. We check every ingredient, combine the results into one list per medication, and show which ingredient and mechanism is responsible.
Where does this information come from?
The product label data comes from the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD); the interaction data is built on the Natural Medicines database and reviewed by HelloPharmacist pharmacists.
Can I take Form-XT if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
The resveratrol in this product should be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to insufficient safety information. Arimistane poses a specific risk in pregnancy because it lowers estrogen, which could be harmful to the developing baby, and there is no safety data for breastfeeding. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist before considering this product if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
What side effects might I experience from Form-XT?
The most common side effects from resveratrol are digestive—diarrhea, loose stools, and gastrointestinal discomfort, especially at higher doses. Headache, fatigue, and skin rash have been reported in clinical trials but are less common. Arimistane has no documented adverse effects in our data, though it is a hormone-altering compound with limited safety research.
Does Form-XT actually work for weight loss?
Resveratrol is rated possibly effective for obesity, meaning there is some evidence it may help, but it is not proven. Arimistane has insufficient evidence to say whether it works for weight loss. Neither ingredient is a proven weight-loss agent.
Is (-)-epicatechin safe to take with my medications?
We do not hold interaction data for (-)-epicatechin, so we cannot check it against your medications. Discuss this ingredient with your pharmacist if you want a complete picture before starting the product.
Why does Form-XT have so many potential drug interactions if resveratrol is from red wine?
Resveratrol in red wine is naturally present in small amounts, while this supplement delivers a concentrated dose. Concentrated supplement doses can have effects that food amounts do not, including the potential to inhibit liver enzymes that metabolize drugs. That's why a lab finding matters even if wine is generally well tolerated.
