Go-Less Ingredients & Drug Interactions
by Country Life
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Go-Less against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Go-Less by Country Life
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Go-Less has 2 active ingredients. The first is pumpkin seed extract, which is the main working component in this product.
The second is a blend called Go-Less powder, which means its individual ingredients are listed separately in the formula. The product also contains several inactive ingredients — cellulose, maltodextrin, magnesium stearate, stearic acid, and silica — which are fillers, binders, and capsule materials that help hold the formula together.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Pumpkin seed extract is possibly effective for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) — enlarged prostate in men — based on the evidence we hold. For other uses listed on the label — androgenic alopecia (male pattern hair loss), interstitial cystitis (bladder pain), intestinal parasite infection, and urinary tract infections — the evidence is insufficient to say whether it works.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Pumpkin seed products are generally well tolerated. The most common side effects are mild: abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting.
Rarely, anaphylaxis (a severe allergic reaction) has been reported. There are also two case reports of substantial temporary hair loss a few weeks after eating bitter-tasting pumpkin or squash, thought to be from high levels of a compound called cucurbitacin, which is found in wild pumpkins.
For pregnancy and breastfeeding, safety data is not on file for concentrated pumpkin seed supplements — the facts we hold don't give us enough to say whether it's safe or unsafe during either. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist before taking this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding to get personalized advice.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
If you take lithium, you need to flag this product with your doctor or pharmacist before starting — pumpkin seed extract may raise your lithium levels and your dose might need to be adjusted. We could not check one of the other ingredients (SoyLife) because we hold no interaction data for it.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Go-Less may be worth considering if you're dealing with benign prostate enlargement and are not taking lithium. If you do take lithium or any other medications, check them against the interaction tool on this page before you start, or ask your doctor or pharmacist to review it with you.
The product is generally well tolerated, but it's wise to have a quick conversation with your healthcare provider first.
