HLC Replenish Capsules Ingredients & Drug Interactions
by Pharmax
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking HLC Replenish Capsules against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
HLC Replenish contains 5 active ingredients, all probiotics (beneficial live bacteria): two strains of Lactobacillus acidophilus (CUL-21 and CUL-60), Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis (CUL-34), Bifidobacterium bifidum (CUL-20), and Lactobacillus salivarius (CUL-61). These are meant to support your gut bacteria balance.
The capsules also contain inactive ingredients including hypromellose (the capsule material), fructooligosaccharide, sunflower lecithin, and silica.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Evidence for these probiotics is mixed and varies by strain and condition. The Lactobacillus acidophilus strains are possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome, Helicobacter pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis, though the evidence isn't robust.
Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis is possibly effective for respiratory tract infections, irritable bowel syndrome, and constipation. Bifidobacterium bifidum is possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome and respiratory tract infections.
For other conditions listed in the data — such as allergic rhinitis, anxiety, and Alzheimer's disease — the evidence is insufficient to rate these probiotics. We hold no effectiveness data for Lactobacillus salivarius.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
These probiotics are generally well tolerated by healthy adults and children. Uncommon gastrointestinal side effects from the Lactobacillus strains may include abdominal discomfort, gas, bloating, diarrhea, or burping.
Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis may cause diarrhea. Bifidobacterium bifidum is generally well tolerated, though people with weakened immune systems should be cautious; one case of vomiting and fever was reported in a child, but causality is unclear.
Rare cases of serious infection (bacteremia, sepsis, abscess, or endocarditis) have been documented with Lactobacillus acidophilus, usually in people with compromised immunity — most appear to result from bacteria moving from elsewhere in the body rather than from the supplement itself.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you take HLC Replenish, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you're on antibiotic drugs. Taking probiotics and antibiotics at the same time may reduce the probiotic's effectiveness — your healthcare provider can help you time them properly.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
HLC Replenish is a multi-strain probiotic for gut and immune support, with possibly effective evidence for irritable bowel syndrome, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and respiratory infections. The main thing to watch is antibiotic use — if you're on antibiotics, separate them from this product by several hours.
Talk with your doctor or pharmacist before starting, especially if you have a weakened immune system or are pregnant or breastfeeding.

HLC Replenish Capsules by Pharmax Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
HLC Replenish Capsules by Pharmax contains four probiotic strains with documented interactions: through its Lactobacillus acidophilus (two strains), Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis, and Bifidobacterium bifidum content, this product may interact with antibiotic drugs.
The most serious concern is Moderate severity: taking these probiotics together with antibiotics might reduce how well the probiotics work, because antibiotics can kill a significant number of the live organisms in the preparation.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
All four checked ingredients share the same interaction pattern with antibiotics. Since these probiotics contain living microorganisms, taking them at the same time as antibiotics may reduce their effectiveness.
The data advises separating when you take antibiotics and this product.
We could not check Lactobacillus salivarius — no interaction data is on file for it. Altogether, these interactions span 182 individual medications.
