Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
Iso JYM Mango Lime contains one active ingredient: sodium. The product also includes inactive ingredients — whey protein isolate, natural and artificial flavors, polysorbate 80, sunflower lecithin, citric acid, sucralose, acesulfame potassium, and anti-foam — that give it texture, taste, and stability.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
Sodium is likely effective for cystic fibrosis. It may be possibly effective for reducing kidney damage from amphotericin B (an antifungal medication).
For bipolar disorder and congestive heart failure, the evidence we hold isn't strong enough to rate whether it works.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Sodium is well tolerated in normal dietary amounts — up to the recommended daily limit of 2.3 grams. Too much sodium is linked to high blood pressure, heart strain, and kidney problems.
You should avoid sodium supplements or very high intakes without talking to your doctor first. In rare cases at high doses, it can worsen heart disease, high blood pressure, or kidney disease.
Population studies also suggest a high sodium intake is tied to increased gastric cancer risk.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Double-check this product if you take lithium, any blood pressure medication, corticosteroids, didanosine (Videx), sodium phosphate products, tolvaptan (Samsca), or any other sodium-containing drug before starting. High sodium intake can reduce medication effectiveness or cause dangerous electrolyte shifts.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This product is a sodium supplement, not a typical fitness drink for most people. It may have a role if you have cystic fibrosis or specific medical reasons to supplement sodium, but only under medical supervision.
If you take lithium, blood pressure medications, corticosteroids, or any other sodium-containing drugs, check with your pharmacist before using it.

Iso JYM Mango Lime by Iso JYM Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Iso JYM Mango Lime is a single-ingredient product — sodium — and it does interact with medications.
The most serious concern is lithium (used for bipolar disorder). High sodium intake can lower lithium levels in your blood, making the medication less effective, while a drop in sodium intake can raise lithium levels and cause toxicity.
This is a Moderate severity interaction that needs careful management.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Sodium also interacts with blood pressure medications (Moderate severity) — a high intake can reduce how well they work and may require dose increases. It affects corticosteroids (Moderate), which already cause your body to hold onto sodium; adding more can lead to dangerously high sodium levels.
Didanosine (an HIV medication), sodium phosphate products (bowel prep solutions), tolvaptan (used to raise sodium in certain conditions), and other sodium-containing drugs all carry Moderate risk of the same problem — too much sodium in your blood.
Sodium is an electrolyte your body needs, so avoiding it entirely isn't the answer. But if you take any of these medications — especially lithium or blood pressure drugs — you'll want to talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using a sodium supplement.
Altogether, these interactions span 203 individual medications. Use the medication checker below with your exact drugs to see if this product is right for you.

For each ingredient in Iso JYM Mango Lime with known interactions, here are the types of medications it can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Sodium
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, a high intake of dietary sodium might reduce the effectiveness of antihypertensive drugs.
High intake of dietary sodium can increase systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Also, high intake of sodium may necessitate increased use of antihypertensive medications to achieve blood pressure control in some patients, such as those with chronic kidney disease.
Corticosteroids
Concomitant use of mineralocorticoids and some glucocorticoids with sodium supplements might increase the risk of hypernatremia.
Mineralocorticoids and some glucocorticoids (corticosteroids) cause sodium retention. This effect is dose-related and depends on mineralocorticoid potency. It is most common with hydrocortisone, cortisone, and fludrocortisone, followed by prednisone and prednisolone.
Didanosine (Videx)
Concomitant use of didanosine with additional sodium from dietary or supplemental sources may increase the risk of hypernatremia.
Didanosine formulations contain a significant amount of sodium.
Lithium
Altering dietary intake of sodium might alter the levels and clinical effects of lithium.
High sodium intake can reduce plasma concentrations of lithium by increasing lithium excretion. Reducing sodium intake can significantly increase plasma concentrations of lithium and cause lithium toxicity in patients being treated with lithium carbonate. Stabilizing sodium intake is shown to reduce the percentage of patients with lithium level fluctuations above 0.8 mEq/L. Patients taking lithium should avoid significant alterations in their dietary intake of sodium.
Sodium Phosphates
Theoretically, concomitant use of sodium phosphate with sodium supplements might increase the risk of hypernatremia.
Use of high doses (> 45 mL in 24 hours) of sodium phosphate, such as those used for bowel cleansing before surgery, can lead to serious electrolyte disturbances, including hypernatremia. The risk of hypernatremia is highest in the elderly and people with other risk factors for electrolyte disturbances.
Sodium-Containing Drugs
Concomitant use of sodium-containing drugs with additional sodium from dietary or supplemental sources may increase the risk of hypernatremia and long-term sodium-related complications.
The Chronic Disease Risk Reduction (CDRR) intake level of 2.3 grams of sodium daily indicates the intake at which it is believed that chronic disease risk increases for the apparently healthy population. Some medications contain high quantities of sodium. When used in conjunction with sodium supplements or high-sodium diets, the CDRR may be exceeded. Additionally, concomitant use may increase the risk for hypernatremia; this risk is highest in the elderly and people with other risk factors for electrolyte disturbances.
Tolvaptan (Samsca)
Theoretically, concomitant use of tolvaptan with sodium might increase the risk of hypernatremia.
Tolvaptan is a vasopressin receptor 2 antagonist that is used to increase sodium levels in patients with hyponatremia. Patients taking tolvaptan should use caution with the use of sodium salts such as sodium chloride.
