Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Kadu Kirayata Powder contains one active ingredient: chirata powder. Chirata is a bitter herb used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine.
There are no inactive ingredients listed for this product.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence for chirata in treating asthma, cancer, constipation, diabetes, indigestion (dyspepsia), or epilepsy is insufficient to rate. The data we hold does not establish that this product works for any of these uses.
If you're considering it for a specific health concern, talk it over with your doctor or pharmacist about what the evidence actually supports.
How safe is it?
Some data gaps
Chirata has been used in small amounts in traditional medicine, but human safety data are limited. The safety data we have advise against use during pregnancy and while breastfeeding due to insufficient information.
Because adverse effects data aren't on file, we can't say what side effects might occur, so start cautiously and watch for any unusual symptoms.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
If you take any antidiabetes drug (metformin, sulfonylureas like tolbutamide, insulin, or other blood-sugar-lowering medications), chirata may increase your risk of low blood sugar — check with your doctor or pharmacist before starting. Additionally, because 86 individual medications are linked to chirata interactions in our data, search your exact medications using the tool on this page to see the full picture.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and some safety-information gaps remain.
Kadu Kirayata Powder is a single-herb traditional remedy with very limited evidence for the conditions it's marketed for. If you take diabetes medication, you'll need to monitor your blood sugar closely and clear it with your doctor or pharmacist first.

HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Kadu Kirayata Powder by Herbal Hills, through its chirata content, does interact with at least one major medication class.

Animal studies show that chirata can further decrease blood glucose levels in animals already on tolbutamide, a diabetes medication, so if you take any diabetes drug, your blood sugar will need close watching.
