Glipizide, Metformin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Chirata interacts with.

Theoretically, taking chirata concomitantly with antidiabetes drugs may increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
In non-fasted animals pretreated with the hypoglycemic drug tolbutamide, taking chirata 250 mg/kg decreased blood glucose levels. Monitor blood glucose levels closely.

Metaglip combines two diabetes medicines: glipizide, which prompts your body to release more insulin, and metformin, which lowers how much sugar your liver makes. Both already work to bring your blood sugar down. The concern here is that chirata may have its own mild blood-sugar-lowering effect, so stacking it on top could push your numbers too low.

If that happens, you might feel shaky, sweaty, dizzy, confused, or very hungry, which are classic signs of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). Honestly, this warning rests on a single animal study, so it's theoretical and far from proven. Still, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding chirata, and check your glucose a little more often if you do.
