Dulaglutide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Chirata interacts with.

Theoretically, taking chirata concomitantly with antidiabetes drugs may increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
In non-fasted animals pretreated with the hypoglycemic drug tolbutamide, taking chirata 250 mg/kg decreased blood glucose levels. Monitor blood glucose levels closely.

Here's the simple version: Chirata is a bitter herb that may, on its own, nudge your blood sugar a little lower. Since dulaglutide (Trulicity) is already working hard to bring your sugar down, adding chirata could in theory push it down a bit too far. That's called hypoglycemia, and signs include shakiness, sweating, dizziness, a fast heartbeat, confusion, or feeling suddenly weak.

I want to be honest about the evidence, though. This concern comes only from animal lab work using a different diabetes drug, not from studies in people taking dulaglutide. So it's more of a theoretical caution than a proven problem. If you'd like to try chirata, check your blood sugar more often and chat with your pharmacist or doctor first.

What Is Dulaglutide Injection Used For?

Brand name: Trulicity

Trulicity (dulaglutide) injection is used alongside diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults and children 10 years and older with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is not for type 1 diabetes.

Trulicity is also used in adults with type 2 diabetes who have established cardiovascular disease or multiple cardiovascular risk factors to lower the risk of major heart events — specifically cardiovascular death, non-fatal heart attack, or non-fatal stroke.
