Alogliptin, Pioglitazone falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Chirata interacts with.

Theoretically, taking chirata concomitantly with antidiabetes drugs may increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
In non-fasted animals pretreated with the hypoglycemic drug tolbutamide, taking chirata 250 mg/kg decreased blood glucose levels. Monitor blood glucose levels closely.

Oseni combines two diabetes medicines, alogliptin and pioglitazone, that work together to lower your blood sugar. Chirata is a bitter herb that, in animal studies, also nudged blood sugar downward. So the worry here is simple: stacking the two could push your sugar lower than intended, raising the chance of a hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) episode. That can show up as shakiness, sweating, dizziness, a racing heart, confusion, or feeling unusually hungry.

I want to be honest about the strength of this, though. The evidence is only from lab and animal work, so it's theoretical rather than proven in people. It's not a reason to panic. If you do choose to use chirata, check your blood sugar more often at first and let your pharmacist or doctor know.
