Kiddi-Flora Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Kiddi-Flora against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
Kiddi-Flora has 3 active ingredients: two probiotics — Lactobacillus sporogenes and Bacillus coagulans — plus a prebiotic fiber called Nutraflora FOS. The probiotics are live, beneficial bacteria meant to support gut health.
The FOS acts as food for those bacteria, helping them thrive. The tablet also contains inactive ingredients like cellulose, fructose, natural raspberry flavor, and magnesium stearate.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The probiotics in Kiddi-Flora (Lactobacillus sporogenes and Bacillus coagulans) are possibly effective for constipation and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). For other uses like antibiotic-associated diarrhea, athletic performance, cancer prevention, and fatty liver disease, the evidence isn't established in our data.
As for Nutraflora FOS, we don't have enough evidence to rate it for any of the conditions listed — osteoporosis, constipation, diabetes, travelers' diarrhea, or high cholesterol — so talk with your child's doctor about what it might help with.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Both Lactobacillus sporogenes and Bacillus coagulans are generally well tolerated in healthy children, though the quality and evidence base for probiotic products vary widely. There's a theoretical concern that live probiotics could cause serious infection in kids who are severely ill, immunocompromised, or have central lines in place — if that applies to your child, check with their doctor before starting.
Nutraflora FOS is generally well tolerated in food amounts, but at supplement doses it can cause bloating, gas, abdominal pain, and constipation, especially at higher doses — these symptoms are usually mild under 10 grams per day. The product facts note that safety data for this supplement is limited, so talk with your doctor or pharmacist before giving it to your child.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
If your child is on antibiotics, don't give Kiddi-Flora at the same time. Separate the doses by a few hours so the antibiotic doesn't kill off the beneficial bacteria.
Antibiotic drugs are the only medication type we've documented an interaction with for this product.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Kiddi-Flora's probiotics are possibly helpful for constipation and IBS, but the main thing to watch for is any antibiotics your child is on — timing matters, so space them out. The prebiotic fiber may cause some gas or bloating at first.
Before you start, chat with your child's doctor or pharmacist to make sure it fits their health picture.

HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Kiddi-Flora by Marco Pharma Int'l contains Lactobacillus sporogenes and Bacillus coagulans, both of which interact with antibiotics.
Taking antibiotics at the same time as this product may reduce how well the probiotic works — antibiotics can kill off the live organisms in the supplement. The fix is simple: space out your doses.
Take your antibiotic and Kiddi-Flora a few hours apart so the antibiotic doesn't wipe out the beneficial bacteria before they settle in.
