NR Longevity Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking NR Longevity against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of NR Longevity by Pure Encapsulations
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
NR Longevity contains 3 active ingredients. Trans-resveratrol is a plant compound studied for anti-aging effects.
Nicotinamide riboside chloride is a form of vitamin B3 that supports cellular energy production. Sulforaphane is a compound from broccoli sprout concentrate that may have protective properties.
The capsule also contains inactive ingredients including cellulose, plant fiber, rice bran extract, gum arabic, and sunflower oil.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Resveratrol shows possibly effective evidence for obesity and hay fever (allergic rhinitis), but is rated possibly ineffective for heart disease and high cholesterol. Nicotinamide riboside's effectiveness is not established in our data for age-related mental decline, vision loss, Alzheimer's disease, athletic performance, fatty liver disease, or heart failure—the evidence is insufficient to rate it for these uses.
Sulforaphane is possibly effective for prostate cancer but rated possibly ineffective for H. pylori infection; evidence is insufficient for asthma, cancer generally, and hay fever.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Resveratrol is generally well tolerated at typical doses, though higher amounts may cause diarrhea, loose stools, and digestive discomfort. Headache, fatigue, and memory issues have been reported in dialysis patients, and one rash case resolved after stopping the supplement.
Nicotinamide riboside also appears well tolerated short-term, with reported side effects including bloating, nausea, muscle pain, sweating, and bowel changes. Sulforaphane is generally well tolerated, with the most common side effects being heartburn, stomach upset, bowel discomfort, and vomiting; headache, insomnia, and irritability have been reported in some trials.
Both resveratrol and nicotinamide riboside lack sufficient safety data for pregnancy and breastfeeding, so they should be avoided during those times. Sulforaphane as a concentrated supplement has not been proven safe in pregnancy—stick to food sources—and use caution at supplement doses while breastfeeding.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking this product, double-check with your doctor or pharmacist if you're on blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs (like warfarin or aspirin)—resveratrol may increase bleeding risk. Also confirm any medications metabolized by liver enzymes CYP2C19, CYP1A2, CYP3A4, or CYP2E1, since resveratrol and sulforaphane may raise their levels.
Finally, if you take blood pressure medication, mention this product to your pharmacist, as nicotinamide riboside may lower blood pressure further.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence behind its ingredients' uses. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
NR Longevity may be worth considering if you're interested in longevity support and have no medication conflicts. However, its effectiveness for most claimed uses isn't firmly established, and you should absolutely check your current medications against the drug interaction list below before starting it.
If you take blood thinners, blood pressure drugs, or any medication metabolized by your liver, talk with your doctor or pharmacist first to make sure it's right for you.

NR Longevity by Pure Encapsulations Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
NR Longevity by Pure Encapsulations contains three active ingredients—trans-resveratrol, nicotinamide riboside chloride, and sulforaphane—that together interact with medications.
The most serious interactions are Moderate in severity and involve resveratrol and sulforaphane's effects on liver enzymes that break down many common drugs.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Resveratrol may slow how your liver processes drugs metabolized by three major enzyme systems (CYP2C19, CYP1A2, and CYP3A4), theoretically raising their blood levels. The strongest evidence comes from CYP2E1 substrates, where a study showed resveratrol increased chlorzoxazone concentration by about 54%—though resveratrol at high doses (3000 mg daily) did not change CYP3A4 drug metabolism in clinical testing.
Resveratrol also has mild antiplatelet effects and may increase bleeding risk if you're on blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs.
Sulforaphane similarly may inhibit CYP1A2, CYP3A4, and CYP2E1 enzymes, theoretically raising levels of drugs cleared by those pathways—though no human cases have been reported. Nicotinamide riboside carries a Minor interaction with blood pressure drugs, as it may modestly lower blood pressure in some people and could add to their effect.
Altogether, these interactions span 960 individual medications. Use the medication checker below to see if any of your prescriptions fall into these categories before starting this product.

For each ingredient in NR Longevity with known interactions, here are the types of medications they can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Trans-Resveratrol
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Resveratrol may have antiplatelet effects and may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Resveratrol seems to have antiplatelet effects.
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP1A2.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit CYP1A2 enzymes. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 2C19 (Cyp2C19) Substrates
Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C19.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit CYP2C19 enzymes. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.
Cytochrome P450 2E1 (Cyp2E1) Substrates
Resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2E1.
In vitro research suggests that resveratrol inhibits CYP2E1 isoenzyme. Also, a pharmacokinetic study shows that taking resveratrol 500 mg daily for 10 days prior to taking a single dose of chlorzoxazone 250 mg increases the maximum concentration of chlorzoxazone by about 54%, the area under the curve of chlorzoxazone by about 72%, and the half-life of chlorzoxazone by about 35%. Chlorzoxazone is used as a probe drug for CYP2E1.
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates
Theoretically, resveratrol might increase levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
In vitro research shows that resveratrol can inhibit the CYP3A4 enzyme. However, clinical research shows that taking resveratrol 3000 mg daily for 8 weeks does not necessitate dose adjustments to medications metabolized by CYP3A4.
Broccoli Sprout, Whole Plant Concentrate
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates
Theoretically, broccoli might reduce the levels and effects of drugs metabolized by CYP1A2.
Pharmacokinetic research in humans shows that eating 500 grams of fresh broccoli daily for 6-12 days can increase CYP1A2 activity by 10% to 200%. Induction of CYP1A2 activity by broccoli is attributed to its glucosinolate constituents.
Cytochrome P450 2A6 (Cyp2A6) Substrates
Theoretically, broccoli might reduce the levels and effects of drugs metabolized by CYP2A6.
Pharmacokinetic research in humans shows that eating 500 grams of broccoli daily for 6 days increases CYP2A6 activity by 135% to 550%. Induction of CYP2A6 activity is attributed to its glucosinolate constituents.
Nicotinamide Riboside Chloride
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, nicotinamide riboside may have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs, potentially increasing the risk for hypotension.
One small clinical study suggests that nicotinamide riboside can modestly reduce blood pressure in hypertensive patients. However, other clinical research did not find a reduction in blood pressure when compared with control.
