Phosphatidylcholine is possibly effective for ulcerative colitis, but the evidence for nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, alcohol-related liver disease, Alzheimer disease, and anxiety is insufficient — we don't have enough reliable data to say whether it works for those conditions.

How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Sunflower oil is generally well tolerated in normal dietary amounts, though concentrated supplement use should be discussed with your doctor first. In rare cases, people with severe sensitivity to plants in the ragweed family (Asteraceae/Compositae) could have an allergic reaction, but the protein content in sunflower oil is very low.
Phosphatidylcholine is generally well tolerated, but high doses may cause digestive upset — bloating, diarrhea, nausea, altered taste, itching, sweating, or vomiting have been reported, especially at doses of 30 grams or more per day. The other ingredients in this product have no safety data on file.
