What’s inside
Full disclosure
PS100 contains one active ingredient: phosphatidylserine at 100 mg per capsule. Phosphatidylserine is a fat-like compound (called a phospholipid) found naturally in cell membranes, especially in the brain.
The capsule also contains inactive ingredients — cellulose, silicon dioxide, modified food starch, magnesium stearate, mixed tocopherols, ascorbyl palmitate, and the capsule shell itself.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Phosphatidylserine is possibly effective for age-related cognitive decline and Alzheimer disease based on the evidence we have. For athletic performance, ADHD, general cognitive function, and dementia, the evidence isn't strong enough yet to rate how well it works.
Talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether this supplement makes sense for what you're trying to support.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Phosphatidylserine is generally well tolerated in studies, though long-term safety hasn't been fully established. Common side effects include flatulence, stomach upset, headache, insomnia, and nausea — gastrointestinal upset can show up at doses around 200–300 mg daily, and insomnia is more likely at higher doses like 600 mg.
There isn't enough safety data on phosphatidylserine in pregnancy, so avoidance is recommended. Safety while breastfeeding is unknown, so it's best to avoid it then too.
Talk with your doctor or pharmacist if you're pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Double-check with your doctor or pharmacist before starting if you take anticholinergic drugs (like benztropine or diphenhydramine for allergies or muscle stiffness) or cholinergic drugs (like donepezil for Alzheimer disease). Both groups have Moderate interactions documented with phosphatidylserine.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
PS100 may be worth considering if you're dealing with age-related memory changes or Alzheimer disease and want a supplement option. If you take any medication for muscle stiffness, overactive bladder, allergies, or Alzheimer disease itself, check with your doctor or pharmacist first — the interactions could affect how your drugs work.
Start with an honest conversation with your own healthcare provider about whether this fits your situation.

Formula
Phosphatidylserine (PS) is a natural phospholipid that is an essential component of cell membranes. Cogni-PS promotes brain function by helping maintain neuronal membrane fluidity (cell-to-cell communication), which is associated with cognition, mental performance, attentiveness and reaction time. PS protects against stress-induced activity, reducing the action of cortisol (catabolic stress hormone). Cogni-PS is a concentrated form of phosphatidylserine that offers superior stability.

PS100 100 mg by Jarrow Formulas Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
PS100 from Jarrow Formulas contains phosphatidylserine, which has documented interactions with two medication types.
The most serious concern is with anticholinergic drugs (Moderate severity) — medications like benztropine or diphenhydramine used for muscle stiffness, overactive bladder, or allergy symptoms. Phosphatidylserine is thought to boost a brain chemical called acetylcholine, which could theoretically reduce how well these drugs work.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Phosphatidylserine also has a Moderate interaction with cholinergic drugs — medications that work by increasing acetylcholine, such as donepezil for Alzheimer's disease or certain glaucoma eye drops. Taking this supplement alongside cholinergic drugs could theoretically lead to too much acetylcholine activity in your system.
Altogether, these interactions span 219 individual medications. If you take any anticholinergic or cholinergic medication, use the interaction checker on this page to search for your exact drugs before you start PS100.
