Royal Strength Ingredients & Drug Interactions
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Royal Strength against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Royal Strength by Physician's Strength
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Royal Strength contains three active ingredients. Fresh royal jelly is a nutrient-rich secretion made by honeybees.
Pumpkin seed oil is extracted from pumpkin seeds and is used for urinary and prostate support. Carob molasses is a sweetener derived from carob pods and is sometimes used for digestive complaints.
The product contains no inactive fillers or other added ingredients.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
The evidence for this product's ingredients is mixed. Pumpkin seed oil is possibly effective for benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate), but evidence is insufficient for hair loss, urinary tract infections, interstitial cystitis, or intestinal parasites.
Carob molasses is possibly effective for diarrhea, though evidence is insufficient for athletic performance, blood sugar control, and cholesterol support. We hold no effectiveness data for royal jelly or Preservatol in our current information.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Pumpkin seed oil in food amounts is generally well tolerated, though concentrated supplements carry some caution. The most common side effects are mild abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting.
Rarely, anaphylaxis has been reported. There are isolated case reports of hair loss following consumption of bitter-tasting or wild pumpkin due to high cucurbitacin content.
Carob is considered safe in normal food amounts but has limited safety data at concentrated supplement doses. In infants, carob thickeners have rarely been linked to serious digestive complications.
For pregnancy and breastfeeding, there is not enough safety data on concentrated supplements of either ingredient — talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether this product is right for you.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you start Royal Strength, double-check with your doctor or pharmacist if you take lithium — pumpkin seed oil might raise its levels and require a dose change. Also confirm the timing of any other oral medications you take, since carob molasses may interfere with how your body absorbs them.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Royal Strength may appeal to you if you're interested in prostate or digestive support, but take care if you take lithium or other oral medications — space doses and check with your own doctor or pharmacist first. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, ask your healthcare provider whether the concentrated ingredients in this liquid are appropriate for you.
This isn't a decision to make on your own.

Royal Strength by Physician's Strength Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Royal Strength by Physician's Strength has documented interactions with at least 2 medications through its pumpkin seed oil and carob molasses content.
The most serious concern is a Moderate interaction with lithium — pumpkin seed oil is thought to act as a diuretic, which might reduce how your body clears lithium and raise its levels in your blood, potentially requiring a dose adjustment.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Carob molasses carries a Minor interaction with oral medications generally. It can theoretically slow down how your body absorbs certain drugs taken by mouth, so if you take carob-containing supplements, space them 30 to 60 minutes apart from your other pills.
We could not check the ingredient Preservatol — we hold no data for it. Royal jelly is listed as a blend whose components appear individually in the product, so its interaction profile is covered through those parts.
Although pumpkin seed oil and carob molasses are the ingredients we can evaluate, there may be other interactions we haven't identified. Check your exact medications with the search tool on this page before you start.
