Saw palmetto is generally well tolerated, with mild and reversible side effects in most people. The most common ones are abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, headache, dizziness, fatigue, and decreased libido.

Rarely, cases of heart rhythm changes and blood pressure shifts have been reported. One person developed a skin reaction with blisters that came back when they restarted the supplement.
