Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains 2 active ingredients. Sea buckthorn is a berry extract used traditionally for skin health and wound healing.
Larch arabinogalactan (freeze-dried juice) is a soluble fiber from larch tree wood. The capsule also contains hypromellose, an inactive ingredient that makes up the capsule shell.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
Sea buckthorn is possibly effective for burns based on available evidence. For eczema (atopic dermatitis), the evidence suggests it's possibly ineffective.
For other uses listed — high cholesterol (dyslipidemia), aging skin, and cancer — the evidence we hold is insufficient to rate it either way. For larch arabinogalactan, we don't have enough reliable evidence to rate its effectiveness for the common cold or high cholesterol.
Both ingredients lack strong proof of benefit for most of their studied uses.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Sea buckthorn is generally well tolerated as a food, but supplement safety hasn't been fully studied, so use caution. At very high doses, it can cause yellow staining of the skin; one person who took 100 grams daily for 6 months developed generalized yellowing.
Applied to skin, it may rarely cause dryness, redness, rash, or irritation. Larch arabinogalactan is generally well tolerated as a fiber, though some people experience bloating and gas.
Long-term safety data for both ingredients are limited. There isn't enough data to know whether either ingredient is safe during breastfeeding — talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using if you're nursing.
The facts don't contain pregnancy safety information, so discuss that with your provider too.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Double-check your blood thinners and antiplatelet drugs (like warfarin, clopidogrel, or aspirin) — sea buckthorn may raise bleeding risk. Also check any blood pressure medications you take, since sea buckthorn itself can lower blood pressure.
If you're on immunosuppressants after a transplant or for an autoimmune condition, ask your pharmacist — larch arabinogalactan may interfere with how well they work.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This product might be worth considering if you're interested in burns or general skin support and don't take blood thinners, blood pressure drugs, or immune-suppressing medications. If you're on any of those — or any prescription medication — check it against our tool first.
Talk to your pharmacist before starting, especially if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or take immunosuppressants.

Sea Buckthorn 400 mg by Eclectic Herb Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Sea Buckthorn 400 mg by Eclectic Herb contains two active ingredients, and together they interact with medications used to control blood pressure, prevent blood clots, and suppress the immune system.
The most serious concern is with blood thinners and antiplatelet drugs (medications that prevent clots). Sea buckthorn may increase bleeding risk because it can slow how platelets clump together — the cells your body uses to seal wounds.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Sea buckthorn also theoretically raises the risk of low blood pressure (hypotension) if you're already taking drugs to lower it, since the herb itself appears to reduce blood pressure in some people. This is a Moderate-severity interaction.
The second active ingredient, larch arabinogalactan, carries a Moderate interaction with immunosuppressants (drugs that calm down your immune system after transplant or for certain autoimmune conditions). It may interfere with how well those drugs work because it has immune-stimulating effects.
Altogether, these interactions span 402 individual medications. Use the medication checker on this page to look up your exact drugs before you start.
