HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Stabilize Berry by Sugarbreak Kids
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
Stabilize Berry contains one active ingredient: white mulberry leaf extract. The formula also includes several inactive ingredients—fructooligosaccharides, water, gelatin, lemon juice concentrate, natural flavor, vegetable oil, carnauba leaf wax, lactic acid, citric acid, colors, pectin, sugar, and stevia leaf extract—that make up the gummy or jelly form.
Does it work?
Not established
The evidence for white mulberry leaf extract for its promoted uses is not established in our data. Effectiveness ratings are insufficient for androgenic alopecia (hair loss), osteoporosis (brittle bones), common cold, diabetes, and high cholesterol (hyperlipidemia).
That doesn't mean it doesn't work—it means clinical trials haven't yet reliably shown whether it does.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
White mulberry leaf is generally well tolerated when taken by mouth. The most common side effects are digestive: bloating, flatulence (gas), loose stools, and constipation.
In one clinical study, about half of participants experienced bloating and gas, a quarter had loose stools, and a fifth had constipation, all at a dose of 4.6 grams three times daily for 4 weeks—though these effects often eased as people continued taking it. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, there isn't enough safety data for medicinal amounts of white mulberry leaf extract, so avoid taking it in these forms if you're pregnant or nursing.
As a food, it's likely safe, but concentrated supplements are less studied and carry the added risk of lowering blood sugar. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist if you're considering this product during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before giving this product to your child or taking it yourself, double-check any antidiabetes drugs (blood sugar medications) your child or you takes—white mulberry leaf can lower blood glucose and raise the risk of low blood sugar. Also check any medications cleared through OCT2 activity in the kidneys, especially metformin.
If your child or you take any prescription medication, run it through the search tool on this page.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This product is meant for kids, so it's most relevant if you're choosing a supplement for your child. Because it can lower blood sugar and interact with kidney-clearing medications, anyone taking antidiabetes drugs or OCT2-substrate medications should check with their doctor or pharmacist before giving it to a child or taking it themselves.
The effectiveness for its advertised uses isn't yet established. Side effects are mostly mild digestive symptoms.

Stabilize Berry by Sugarbreak Kids Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Stabilize Berry by Sugarbreak Kids contains white mulberry leaf extract, which interacts with two medication categories.
The most serious concern is with antidiabetes drugs (blood sugar medications): white mulberry leaf can lower blood glucose levels, which means it could theoretically increase your risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) when combined with these medications. This is a Moderate-severity interaction.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
The extract also interacts with drugs that use OCT2 transporters (a kidney protein that helps clear certain medications from your body) — a Moderate-severity interaction. Animal research shows that white mulberry leaf may slow how your kidneys eliminate these drugs, potentially raising their levels in your bloodstream and increasing side effects.
Metformin, a common diabetes medication, is an OCT2 substrate and is of particular concern.
Altogether, these interactions span 87 individual medications. If you take any antidiabetes drug, any medication cleared through OCT2 activity, or any other prescription medication, check your exact drugs with the search tool below before starting this product.

Organic Cation Transporter 2 (Oct2) Substrates
Theoretically, white mulberry leaf might slow the elimination and increase the adverse effects of drugs which are OCT2 substrates.
Animal research shows that coadministration of white mulberry leaf extract with metformin, an OCT2 substrate, slows the renal elimination of metformin via inhibition of OCT2 activity. OCT2 is expressed in the kidneys and is responsible for transporting cationic drugs into tubular epithelial cells in order to be excreted in the urine.
