Every active ingredient lists its own amount on the label.

Why this rating?
  • The label discloses an exact amount for 1 of its 1 active ingredient.
  • No proprietary blends here — you can verify the dose of every single component.

This product is just strawberry powder — a single active ingredient made from freeze-dried strawberries. The inactive ingredient is maltodextrin, a common binder and filler used in powdered supplements.

Couldn't assess
Evidence for Intended Use · database check
By FDA rules, dietary supplements can’t claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease — so labels speak in careful marketing language. We discern each product’s intended use from its name, label claims, and label statements, then grade the clinical evidence for that use. How these ratings are computed
Not assessable

This is a single-ingredient Strawberry product and its label doesn't state a use — see Strawberry's own graded uses on its monograph.

Why this rating?
  • We looked at the product name, claims, and label statements and couldn't find a stated purpose to grade.

The evidence for strawberry powder isn't established in the data we hold. We don't have reliable ratings for its use in cardiovascular disease, diabetes, high cholesterol, or high blood pressure — the research simply isn't there yet, or it's too early to say either way.

How safe is it?

Safety Information · database check
Some gaps

Safety data exists for these ingredients, but with some important gaps.

Why this rating?
  • We hold adverse-effect (side-effect) data for 1 of the 1 matched ingredient.
  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding safety ratings cover 0 of 1.
  • General safety write-ups exist for 1 of 1.
  • Remember: this measures how much safety information exists. Thin data is not the same as being safe.

Strawberry fruit in normal food amounts is widely eaten and considered well tolerated. In medicinal doses like this powder, it's generally well tolerated too.

That said, nausea and allergic reactions — including oral allergy syndrome and skin reactions — have been reported rarely. One clinical trial found nausea in participants taking 50 grams daily.

We don't have enough data on concentrated strawberry supplements during pregnancy or breastfeeding to say either way. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether this is right for you if you're pregnant or nursing.

The most serious documented interaction for these ingredients is Moderate. Check your medications for a personalized result.

Why this rating?
  • 1 of the 1 matched ingredient can interact with medications — Strawberry.
  • The most serious interaction on file is rated Moderate.
  • Some involve high-stakes drug classes: anticoagulant / antiplatelet drugs.
  • For scale: 316 individual medications appear in the full list. A big number alone doesn't make a product dangerous — what matters is whether YOUR medication is on it, so run yours through the interaction checker on this page.

Check your medications against these two drug types before taking strawberry powder. First, p-glycoprotein substrates — a large group that includes many common drugs — may build up in your system.

Second, blood thinners and antiplatelet medications (like aspirin or clopidogrel) carry a Moderate risk of increased bleeding. Use the search tool below to see if any of your prescriptions are on the list.

The bottom line

Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and some safety-information gaps remain.

Strawberry powder is a straightforward single-ingredient product that's generally well tolerated, but it does interact with blood thinners and a large class of other medications. Check your exact prescriptions before you start.

Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs

In vitro and animal research suggests that strawberry extract can inhibit platelet aggregation due to its phenolic content. Theoretically, strawberry might increase the risk of bleeding when used with antiplatelet or anticoagulant drugs.
Some anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs include aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, ticlopidine (Ticlid), warfarin (Coumadin), and others.

Likelihood Possible Evidence D
P-Glycoprotein Substrates

In vitro research suggests that strawberry extract can inhibit p-glycoprotein efflux. Theoretically, strawberry might inhibit p-glycoprotein mediated drug efflux and potentially increase levels of drugs that are substrates of p-glycoprotein. Until more is known, strawberry should be used cautiously in people taking p-glycoprotein substrates.
Drugs that might be affected include some chemotherapeutic agents (etoposide, paclitaxel, vinblastine, vincristine, vindesine), antifungals (ketoconazole, itraconazole), protease inhibitors (amprenavir, indinavir, nelfinavir, saquinavir), H2 antagonists (cimetidine, ranitidine), some calcium channel blockers (diltiazem, verapamil), corticosteroids, erythromycin, cisapride (Propulsid), fexofenadine (Allegra), cyclosporine, loperamide (Imodium), quinidine, and others.

Where does this information come from?
The product label data comes from the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD); the interaction data is built on the Natural Medicines database and reviewed by HelloPharmacist pharmacists.
Is strawberry powder safe if I'm pregnant?
